. While the earthquake is a major tradegy it really only affects Sichuan province and here in Beijing and Shanghai it's life as normal.
I wonder if it's actually got more to do with the reasons why visas have been tightened up and they are now being much stricter about foreigners here having to register where they are living at the public security bureau. This year is all about making sure everything is under control and that nothing can disturb the Olympics.
