Does anybody have any recommendations on which pub to watch the Phoenix games live at in Christchurch?

I wont be there (pub) first a-league game though as my mate and I have already booked airfares to Wellington for the 26th August... I hope to catch a second game towards the end of the season also, maybe Sydney beginning of Jan?

Dazza,

I'm sure the NZ Everton Suporters club is based in ChCh (I learned this when working for Beer Chang a few years ago). From memory, there is a football freindly pub they meet at. The supporters club page contact details are here: http://www.bluesaders.co.nz/contact.asp. You could try contacting them to get the name fo the pub.

BTW: some objectionable material on that site. (J.I.C. someone gets offended and decides to sue somebody).

Yes well no - I am not exactly what you would call a 'brazilian superstar'. Glad that is cleared up....Dazza2007-04-30 22:17:24

Dazza, did you find out about the pub in ChCh at all>? Let us know if you did so we can direct others to the same location.

I was waiting to hear other suggestions, however as they don't seem to be forthcoming.  Although i don't live in chch at the moment i would suggest perhaps Baileys at Warners?

fox and ferret at the palms gets good numbers of the local football community-- go the phoenix --look forward to some cheap air n.z. fares so we can travel up for home games !!!

Cheers chch yellow.

I don't live far from the fox and ferret so it might well be worth a look... I did a quick check on canty air NZ cup games and it appears at this stage that there is no clash with the phoenix games which might help our pub coverage chances...

btw booked some airfares to welly last week (for the 26th August), they were $174 return for some reasonable times. Keep an eye out for 'grab a seat' specials later in the year though.

Dazza

Unbelievable. You can get to Wellington for a game but not Bexley? Oh well never mind. Fox & Ferrett sounds good. Plenty of room unless Bazza turns up.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

I can confirm Chch YF that the pre-season cup game at QEII park will be $10 for adults and free for kids under 16.
