If his life is back on deck, he's back here for good and is willing to prove himself in the NZFC or elsewhere then maybe he'd be a chance.

By all accounts he was an A-League quality player before he had some personal 'challenges'.

How's my driving? - Whine here

I just don't know. I saw the highlights of some of the games he played in the Carioca championship when I was in Brazil a couple of months ago, and he still looked absolutely awful.

He may have been a decent player before, but he strikes me as someone who's just lost it.

For those of us who don't know much about club football in Brazil, what level was he playing?

Compared to, say, the EPLs.

Cleb is bloody brilliant. OK didn't deliver much on the pitch in the form of footy but he is such an awesome character.

Hope he stays put in NZ. Like to see him playing here, if for nothing more than the emotion he shows. His celebrations when we scored at thr RoF against Sydney pre-season I will never forget. Imagine what his celebrations would be if HE actually scored a goal.

Imagine a defensive pair of Clebo and McKinley.

Magic.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

When I was there it was the state championship season, basically you get top 20 clubs within a state to play for the state championship.
Some clubs are obviously very good (in Campeonato Paulista you get Sao Paulo, Palmeiras, Corinthians, Santos, etc, in the Carioca Championship the likes of Flamengo, Botafogo, Vasco de Gama and so on), but some come from the lower tiers of Brazilian football. The overall standard is pretty good, if somewhat variable in quality.

I was going to write America but wasn't 100% sure so didn't, and also didn't have the time to google it. But I'm reasonably sure it was America.

They got relegated HAHA, obviously not a good job in the defence.
