Hard News, you must be amused that Mr Milligan appears to be back in Aussie with his tail between his legs?  Probably just deciding between Arsenal, Porto or Werder Bremen...he's had some good advice that boy

Talk is either Newcastle or the Mariners.  I suspect he will hear about it from the fans of every other club in the league.

This is a recent thing.

Mark Milligan, Olyroo captain and former Sydney player talked up how he was off to the top level in Europe, disappeared on Sydney to slope off for European trials (did a Sonny Bill) and now he's back in Sydney and his only offers are A-League clubs which he has stated he is too good for.

Basically he left to move onto bigger and better things (from Sydney), missed an Olyroos camp unannounced and basically a number of times said how he was going to sign with a big european club.  He had (supposedly) trials at arsenal, which subsequently turned out to be no more than a fitness test and then announced that he had trials at Porto and Werder Bremen.  ANyway, he's basically had no takers at all, has been dropped from the socceroos for not having a club and is no looking to come back to the A-League, either at CC or Newcastle probably.  Bit of a Billy Big Time brought back down to earth

The other guy is Adrian Leijer (who is probably one of the best Aussies to play in the A-League) imo.  Not been seen at Fulham at all, I actually rated him which is a bit disappointing not to see him paying

I think he might have read a bit much of his own press, and he probably had a little birdie (his Mr 15%) whispering in his ear.  Technically he's not up there at all, he's still young and reasonably athletic but he makes a lot of mistakes

Where is the guy Carney playing and how is he going?

Old one foot.

Sheffield United's bench.  Had a dust up with the manager as well about not playing so unlikely to get off it in a hurry.  He played for Aus against Qatar midweek.

Carney is at Sheffield United but has had a major falling out with the new manager Kevin Blackwell and is being frozen out after apparently criticising tactics.  Watch out for him back at CCM...although he is definitely championship material, he could get snapped up

Fair enough result. You'd be pretty peeved if you were a Roar fan.

Not sure why Farina took Miller off. Even if he wasn't having one of his better games Miller looked far more likely to produce something than Minniemouse, who was frankly ordinary.

Aussies mouthing off: surprise surprise. Ditto Lucas Neill at West Ham who publicly took potshots at ex-manager Alan Curbishly.

Carney might have had a point.  Blackwell has gone all long ball which doesn't suit Davie Boy, although the team is getting results.  He was Robson's signing (I think), can't see this one working out.
