I got there about 6:15, Draper, Spoonley,Christie, Lochead, Brown, Costa in attendance until 7:15. Tony P rocked up about 7.

Fairly busy until 6:45ish.

Big Tim B the perfect gentlemen as always, very happy to talk to the fans - he mentioned that the standing ovation and applause after the CCM game really lifted the team an was really appreciated

(So, from me, a big F.U. to all the naysayers on here that said WTF are we applauding a team that got beat!)

Coops keeping the crowd suitably refreshed with free coke (coca-cola) and water.

Are you really going out with him, the Fevers favourite photographer was there getting a few snaps of the crowd and players.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

but what im asking, is the RYOS shops real or fake?

RYOS would never stock fake merchandise, they're above that. The first tops they sold were real, and the new set are real.

(Edit - HAHA, the censor change the "sh*t" in the file name making it unusable, had to rename it then re-upload it. Hate to see what would happen if a Sc**thorpe fan wanted to upload a team photo!)

Phil and the RYOS gang do a great job. I got my shirt from there when I couldn't get one anywhere else. Don't know why all this "Are they fake" sh*t keeps cropping up. If Rebel Sports were selling 'Nix shirts, would anybody be asking if they were fakes? Give RYOS a break.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The shirts at RYOS don't have the InterIslander sponsorship on the sleeve. Why bother buying it from them when you can get the full proper match shirt at the club store AND your money is going directly back to the club.

Does anyone happen to know if either store are selling Kids size Sony branded shirts??
Someone mentioned they cost $100 at RYOS, does that mean they have them there??

spoke to the chap (richard?) at ryos yesterday (he rang about a shirt i'd pre-ordered  -good service that!), he said the kids sizes didn't have the logo yet but he'd sort it

I think the lack of logo for kids sizes applies to all outlets

not sure what sizes Ryos still has

hope this helps DR

Don't see the point of giving your money to a third party! The Phoenix store is fully equipped with everything, Ryos has some of the good stuff but still limited in comparison!

Like DPK22 says, support the club via the clubs shop!

Where are you going to shop when the club store closes?

I'd rather encourage businesses who support the Phoenix from the beginning. If shopping at Ryos will help sustain their support for the Phoenix so that it will still be around when the club store closes, I'm keen for that. There's no assurance that other stores (Rebel/Stirlings/COTW etc) will stock Phoenix gear after the club store closes, so I'd rather ensure that Ryos does.

That, plus excellent service and close to my place.

I shop at the club store too, but Ryos is always my first choice.

When the club shope closes??? when is it closing????? It has the same opening hours as Ryos! Are you suggesting its only there for a short time? Why on earth would Terry put money into decking it out for short term thing?

Yep, it's short time. Terry isn't putting too much money into it - he owns the building so it's rent free. It's going to be demolished in a month or two for development, so for the mean time he's used the premises to sell Phoenix gear and create a profile for the team. It's marketing, not just merchandise sales (especially since, if I remember correctly, all teams pool their merchandise profits and it's distributed evenly). And it's a great idea. If the club shop proves to be sustainable, he might reopen it, but from what I've heard it's just short term.

look to clear something up, i have shopped in RYOS many times before and phil and the team are top class!! i have also shopped in the club store as well and the service is rather dull to be honest but never the less im putting money into the club like all of you guys and gals are as well.

The only reason i asked that question is because someone posted that there is no interislander on the sleeve and thats why i was questioning it, it has been cleared up and i never thought in a million years that they would ever sell anyting fake coz everything they have in there is 100% legit stuff but that had to be asked at the time, the matter is now closed as the supplier has obviously forgotten to put the interislander on RYOS deliveries and done it to the phoenix shop.

Its only a small logo, if anyone is concerned they could probably buy a interislander thing and sow or iron it on themselves.

As a matter of fact i purchased my phoenix top from RYOS as the service and people are much more friendlier and helpful than the club shop and i agree if the shop is closing down then lets get the likes of RYOS to support the phoenix LONG TERM, but no doubt my gut instinct is telling me terry will probably open up another club shop somewhere in lambton quay or as close to the old one as possible when it does go.

heres an idea, what about a phoenix shop near the train station, its soo central and they would get loadsa business during the season and in pre-season as well??

The club shop is awesome.  The blonde woman in the shop has been sincere and so helpful.  My son and I live in Auckland and flew down for the weekend.  When we arrived in Wellington, my son had a blocked ear from the flight and all he wanted was to get apparel signed by the Phoenix players.  We were very fortunate to be in the store when the phoenix players arrived.  The blonde lady in the store went out of her way to introduce my son to some of the phoenix players and get their autographs for him.  She truly made my sons weekend and I would just like to thank all the staff at the phoenix store for their kind hearted efforts.  Keep up the good work and go the phoenix!!!!!!

Would be great to keep a club shop, even if it's just a small shop in town. On a busy part of town would be good, because it would stay in the minds of many people passers-by who wouldn't normally turn their minds to football. Might even be enough to get some people to the games.

I would think that if the club shop is closing, then it shouldn't be re-opened until June next year in time for the pre-season cup.

I give my money to the Phoenix by buying my Season membership.

All the other money goes to RYOS and Champs.

Incidentally folks, on the subject of Champs.  Retro Ricki's will be back in stock by Thursday AM.  If you know any of the hundreds who have been looking but were too late for stock prior to the weekend.

1] If the Club Store gave us discount on everything upon producing a YF card, I might consider more shopping there.

2] RYOS do offer a discount and the staff's attitude in there is awesome (Like Champs) and friendly.

3] How many Retro Rickis have been sold since they first sold??

4] That Interislander thing on the sleeve looks kinda tacky, surely they could have done a better job than that??
