Look, you can love Wellington and enjoy living there without denying that the air moves at quite a velocity on a regular basis.

Next you'll be saying that the hilliness is overstated.

Personally, I found areas of Nelson more hilly. But the weather really hadn't been as bad as I was lead to believe. Auckland appears to have way worse weather

You are joking right? I trust you on the hills if you are a sheep but the weather? Really?

Auckland will rise once more

That pretty much says he failed everywhere he went!. I think he might be a dud.

In his presser he said he wasn't trialing for Chivas, But just asked to attend training to keep his fitness up. Chivas is his boyhood team I believe. Talay was in talks with him already at that stage.

Every unknown import is a bit of a roll of the dice. But this guy has alot of potential if we can get everything right and get him firing. Still only 28.

Ecstatic with this one, for my money one of the top three Kiwis in the national league

Yeah good. Depth at CDM and CB and a quality Kiwi with a history of strong domestic performances. Ticks all the boxes, lets see him put it together on the pitch.

Does this mean we aren't going to sign Payne, or are we looking at him as a CDM first a foremost where TAHW is a CB?

Happy to see Te Atawhai Hudson-Wihongi sign for us. Was unlucky with the timing of his injuries last season so unfortunately missed out.

Speaks a lot about his mindset that he's come back for another crack, so in that sense, couldn't be happier for him. Gives us a bit of versatility and a few options on the pitch too. Going to have a guess and say Tim Payne will be next to sign up.

Good to see we're ahead of last season too in terms of signings going into the start of the FFA Cup. Think we had 15/16 on the books this time last year, so a bit more time for the squad to gel before competitive fixtures.

I mean, we literally have 16 signed on that count towards the 23.

Should have implied that we went into our first match with 15/16. Still 3 weeks left until kickoff this time around with players on trial or on their way too so still ahead of the game, if that's what this even is.

Comparison would probably be a more apt description of our current recruitment situation too.

I definitely understand where you are coming from though. Regardless of the strength, the squad feels closer to being complete than it did this time last year

Really happy for Te Atawhai. I've known him since he was a kid and he has worked so hard to get to this point. And what perseverance to get himself up again after coming so close last season. Brilliant news.

Pretty happy with the core of Kiwis we've signed. The three domestic Kiwis I wanted at the start of the window were Payne, TAHW and McCowatt so pleasantly surprised we've got all three. Still think a lot hinges on these next two import spots.

Will need to revise our criteria for signing the last players. Name must have x number of syllables and rhyme with ...

I'd expect it to be Rufer to begin with and Payne pushing for the spot.
