hearfields better by a country mile, he lost his rag in that game, so what, show me a decent footballer that at one point in their career hasn't got in a bit of a tiff with an oppo player. Costa's a great player but he really does get muscled off the ball too easily. Hearfield needs to work on his first touch, he doesn't take the weight off the ball properly and always goes about a foot too far in front of him, or bounces up slightly giving defenders time to get in at him, he's got bags of pace and delivers well from wide, but needs to work hard on his discipline.

on the mulligan issue, everyone seems to bag him, but how many games have we actually seen him play for the phoenix? maybe two?? not really enough time to gel with other players : everytime I've seen him play for new zealand I think he's played well, I hope he gets given a second chance next year.

was impressed by Hearfield when watching them train at ROF the other day. He can find the back oif the net (just not in games)
fully agree, from the training and drills before games I've seen Hearfield seems to be one of our strongest finishers
You know we belong together...

Let's hope we get to play another week, so Ricki can answer this riddle for us! Hearfield or Costa?
Ricki, please, you decide!

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Hearfeild...great player and I'm loving how he's taking on players and has scored a few goals. Pity about how he lost his rag and headbutted but he should learn from his mistake and next season be a mature senior player for the phoenix.

Costa on the other hand is a great little player. a bit small against the big a-league defenders but can use his pace to get past them. we saw glimpses of him against adelaide but Ive seen him at age grade tourneys(federation) and he's a step ahead all the rest. Scoring hat tricks each game...a player for the future and could be a star in a-league. keep playing him, his confidence will grow and he'll shine

atm hearfeild ahead of costa but when costa gets more confidence after playiong more he'll be up there ahead of hearfeild I think
