As was promised in another thread, I've made a Countdown Timer for all Phoenix games.

I'll make another one that only does home games when I can be bothered. Probably next weekend.yomcat2009-06-12 18:48:50

Yea, preseason is in the works as well.

But I'm lazy and can't be bothered digging up my own post that has the dates in it

nice work, but is there any way to set it as a desktop background?
Permalink Permalink
almost 18 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
To set it as background:

Right click on the desktop, click properties and then the desktop tab. Click customize desktop then click the web tab. Add that site's URL and there you go!

Haha I just did the same thing, and quickly learnt about Dashboard as I went (never really used it until now). I heart my Mac...

So I was lookingat the page source and I saw this:

Page Source wrote:

if(document.getElementById)
{
document.getElementById("inSpan").innerHTML = " ";
document.write("<div unselectable='on' id=countdown style='font-size: 48px;'></div>");
document.write("<div unselectable='on' id=weeks style='font-size: 36px;'></div>");
document.write("<div unselectable='on' id=days style='font-size: 30px;'></div>");
document.write("<div unselectable='on' id=hours style='font-size: 24px;'></div>");
document.write("<div unselectable='on' id=minutes style='font-size: 18px;'></div>");
document.write("<div unselectable='on' id=seconds style='font-size: 12px;'></div>");
countdown();
}
else
{
document.write("HEHEHEHE");
}

Nice way to add that personal touch ;)

I didn't write the JS. I stole it from somewhere (can't remember where).

But I think that was one of my changes. Can't remember why.

Is there any way of getting this on the Vista sidebar or would that entail making something else?

If you can put webpages in your Vista sidebar, then yes. It needs to stay online and on my site to ensure that it keeps working when games get played.

Apart from that, I have no idea and no desire to find out

Doesn't look like it. I've had a quick look at the API, and it seems to basic for what I'm doing.

Okay, it might work. I'll have a play and see if I can come up with anything.

My internet connection at home is slow and my kettle doesn't seem to be working either, could you have a look at them when you're done please?

To speed up your connection, you should keep porn downloads to a minimum. Is the kettle plugged in? Switched on at the wall?

1) Porn already at minimum - 97 hours downloaded a week.

2) Kettle fixed. Hot tea.  Thanks for your help.
