He's here
He's there
The Council cuts his hair
Eugene dadi, Eugene Dadi

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Come on Eugene,
Score a goal, for our team,
So we can all..., take off everything,
Shirts off for the boys,
When we're up, with 10 left,
Oh, come on Dadi...,
Oh come on Eugene.

Also, a lyrics site describes the verses as such:

This vocal structure [of the verses] gives the song it's characteristic sound, and makes it a lot of fun to sing along. You don't really need to know the lyrics just throw in the occassional "Come on Eileen", "Everything", "Torra loora rye aye" and "...ess".

Sounds perfect for a Fever chant!

"So we can all" is a bit messy too.

Will keep working on it.

Now we need something for the verse. May i suggest something along these lines:

Phoenix... we want to win the plate.
Fever... we need to inebriate.
Phoenix... Ifill is number 8.
Fever... we need to lose weight.
Phoenix... chances we will create.
Fever... we don't know how to conjugate.

ad infinitum, using selections from below:

mate, fate, create, crime rate, ice skate, lose weight, gain weight, heart rate, sedate, conjugate, eight, interstate, procreate, watergate, welfare state, unemployment rate, alexander the great, depreciation rate, psychological state, physiological state, basal metabolic rate.

Pink Martinis 'Hey Eugene' (a favourite song of mine)

Hey Eugene do you remember me?
I'm that chick you danced with two times through the Rufus album Friday night at that party on avenue A:
where your skinhead friend passed out for several hours on the bathroom floor and you told me
You weren't that drunk, and that I was your favourite Salsa dancer you had ever come across in New York city

Eugene
Eugene
Eugene
I said hello Eugene
Are you there Eugene

Hey Eugene then we kissed once we lobbed your friend into the elevator and went to write my number on a soggy paper towel
And the car went down
And when we had finished making out we noticed that your skinhead friend was gone. Long gone
And you looked into my bloodshot eyes and said is it too soon if I call you Sunday

Eugene
Eugene
Eugene
I said hello, Eugene
Are you there, Eugene

I said hello (hello), Eugene (Eugene)
Eugene (Eugene)
Eugene (oh yeah)
I said hello (hello), Eugene
Are you there, Eugene (tell me are you there)

I said hello (hello), Eugene (Eugene)
Eugene (Eugene)
Eugene (tell me oh)
I said hello (hello), Eugene (Eugene)
Does any of this ring a bell Eugene?

I suspect that might not work, JV.

Oh hell no, but there is plenty to work with and alter to suit. Or just take parts of it.

Dadi had been an awesome player for Perth Glory. The technical skills and reading of the game by those foreign players are much more impressive than most of local players. They play football instead of boot and chase like rugby! Welcome to Wellington, Dadi.
