The A-league is probably the roughest football league that I've seen, so fair enough that he isn't used to it, but that doesn't explain him going down when he gets barely touched, as their is nothing rough about that.

League One, Two and below.

He could be a good player, but with all his histrionics, sports people are going to get p.... off  with him [& management for allowing such behaviour] sooner rather than later, which does NOTHING for the game et al

jiz08, you seem to take great delight in telling people what they need to do before they can comment,

however, it may have escaped your notice that this isn't Sth America or Europe

No jiz, it's you who is out of touch.  Most of the worlds leading football journalists are ranting and highlighting that it is a blight on the game and demanding FIFA fix it.  The game is changing to the point where those doing it are complete pariah's.

Before you insult others how about gaining a clue yourself.

And just because it happens in Europe or South America doesn't make it right. I still hate it when people dive in those leagues.

(Like when Sol Campbell conceded a penalty for Arsenal against Manchester United when he supposedly 'fouled' Rooney a few years back, if anything Rooney should have been carded).

i think a lot of it comes down to the ref...the harder they are on divers, the riskier it becomes to do it. It's good to see refs give yellows quite consistently. It would be hard if you were about to lose the game but had a chance to gain a penalty NOT to dive. But i agree it's fricken annoying and some players are just pathetic at it
I like tautologies because I like them.

Not pretty at the best of times.

And when referee's do punish it, we get accused of nit picking, or destroying the game with needless cards. That was a couple of the comments I saw from the first game when Shields carded Daniel for that very thing!!!!!!

Dr quack, cheers for your reply on page two, I'm pretty much persuaded by what you said,

I'd love it if he stayed on his feet a bit more, perhaps my earlier replies (and just possibly your initial post) where all a little hyped up because we were all a bit revved up following the game on sunday.

Whilst I'm a bit more thoughtful in this post, I can't promise not to respond one way when we get a free kick and a completely differnet way when we get one given against us, I am no saint .

Have a good un, Ed
