I thought he played really well for the All Whites against Vanuatu in Wellington. Yes I know it was only Vanuatu but he seemed to link up really well with Bertos and Smeltz especially.
With Daniel and now Leu leu Gau (hope I spelt that right) winning free kicks in dangerous positions for us in midfield, I think it would be very handy to have someone who can take a decent free kick.
Personally I'd like to see him at the Phoenix.

I don't understand why Ferrante wasn't given the chance to take more. A shooting for goal under pressure is quite different from taking a set piece, and the one FK he did take hit the bar. I think it was against Queensland or Adelaide? Along with Daniel he probably had the best technique of the players in our squad last season.

i think it was Ferrante that Fred Woodcock saw put the ball into the top of a rubbish bin from about 35 meteres at training
i saw vince lia get the ball into the balls' bag from about 30 metres at training
neither of those would be a complete waste of time in a dead ball situation add them to Daniel and LeiLei
so, if we were to sign Mully it should be if the coaches think he could do a good defensive job at right back (I'm not convinced he'd be the best option) or because he's got a chant waiting for him

You'd assume that if felipe took free kicks in matches then he was probably the best at taking them at training...it's not like they'd just give them to him because he wanted to, or he's Brazilian.

didn't realise you were there Tegal, then again I've no idea whether you are a six foot six teenager or a five foot two grandad 
I reckon he was after dropping it into the bag, even if it was a fluke there was a fair bit of skill alongside that bit of luck (like you say, either way it was a laugh)

He'd be a great signing - still young ish, was player of the round in the third round of the FA Cup a couple of seasons back - he'd stand out in this league - as HN says think where Smeltz came from and look at what he did for us.

We need a free kick specialist and a right back he fits the bill on both counts. I read his manager at sc**thorpe back in League 1 said that he was the best set piece taker in the league!!
Still don't think we will get him though. I imagine he'll get picked up by a league 1 team.

i'd say definately lia, and i'm not terribly worried if thats the case, he's a solid player, and with a full pre-season of learning the trade he should be good enough
