And no - I'm not talking about f**king Korean motor vehicles.  Dewhurst.  He's 1 win - 0 loses for regular season action.

The Dewhurst factor.   It could be crucial against Adelaide.

Have to tell you guys it was a dream listening to his voice instead of the monotone Fred this eve.  Made the game even more exciting, keep it up.

I like the sound of Dewhursts voice as opposed to Freds but both are average commentators

Gordon Irving would always be welcome...

I thought he was slightly less bias compared to De Jong but didn't like his commentry all that much.  I like commentators that actually commentate the game and don't talk about peripheral stuff - Brenton Speed (I think that is his name) is probably the best in the A-League.

Dewhurst has got a bit of an annoying voice (sorry if you're reading this mate, maybe i've been in Aussie too long :P)

I just read the comments of the game on the 442 website ,the "west Islanders" claim that the comentry was a joke, maybe they do not understand such a nuetral accent as ours.

Lets face it, most of the a-league commentators are woeful.

I don't really mind the Aussie commentators but Dewhurst is a cock. I don't know why he needed Harry in the commentary box with him, as he seemed determined to show us all how knowledgeable and tactically astute he was for the entire game. Let the comments man do the comments, Andrew.

As for Elrick, "the shadow's moving across the pitch". Gee, thanks for that insight there Mark.

I was waiting for Dewhurst to give us a " Harry, the Phoenix seem to be lacking a strike partner for Shane Smeltz, someone like a Benjamin Totori perhaps...."

Agree with A47, get Gordon Irving in there.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I thought Harry was crap, as always, too busy talking about other useless facts when there's a GAME ON.

Drewhurst was brilliant I thought, a league about Fred and I hope he stays on permanently.

For me, the game on TV was spoiled a bit by Dewhurst's non stop talking, it was very frustrating. He is used to doing radio, and radio commentators fill the space up, but you dont need all that chat on the tele.

Harry was only responding to the curve balls that Dewhurst threw at him.

I have been enjoying watching the games in Aus using the channel surfing link, its brilliant,  and I prefer and quite like the Aussie commentators

I like Simon Hill and Brenton Speed. Andy Harper and Robbie Slater are pretty terrible at times. Trimmers is pretty good as well as the comments guy. valeo2009-01-05 13:39:37

Slater: 'It looks like Hakkinson's finnished.'
Moments silence.
Harper: 'He's Danish actually.'

That was quality, usually they're average but far better than any of our lot.

Yeah.  Haven't cringed so much since Deaker and Sammy Malcolmson examined the Andre Do-ron-tee and John M'Can signings.

Debatable.  Dewhurst just needs some practice that's all.

That video is gold.

Three for me, and two for them.

how did Dewhurst snake in there? He said the name of the referee about twelve times. Cockerill and Harper are class in my opinion

Yeah to be fair I was waiting for the Rex Dawkins back hander to sneak in. Surprised he didn't mention Danny Hay or Neil Emblem either too....
