I didn't see the incident that led to Daniel getting another yellow, in the last minute of the game!!! and I dont have Sky to watch the replay, no doubt someone here will come up with the info.

But I understand that he now is off for 2 games because of it, them's the rules.

And I read this in the match thread... "looks like Daniel will serve 1/2 of his suspension over in Brazil with his wife and new baby, good timing but it means we won't see him at home again this season"

So, I'm wondering, was it done to have the extra time off?????? Was he p****d off that he wasnt starting???? Is he a good team man???

I love his talent and want to think the best of him, tell me this is just a conspiracy theory!

he said something to the ref. Daniels got booked for so many dumb things this season. Its such a shame he won't be playing in the last home game.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I hope that if he did say something to the ref that it was something hilariously dirty in Portuguese and worthy of putting on a banner.

Maybe it was: "sua irm uma peluda de perna chaser de ovo", which after a quick translation by the ref would result in a straight yellow, as no ref would like his sister being refered to as a hairy legged egg chaser.

Just speculating of course as I'm sure it's not in his nature to say such things, and agree that it is a shame he won't feature again in Welly, but wish him and his wife all the best for the arrival of their first born.

I thought the 7th card was only a single match, not two ?

Anyone got the A-League rules handy to check ?

How's my driving? - Whine here

just looked back to a previous post and according to that post this is what occurs.
A-League rules are 4 yellows = 1 match suspension; when you accumulate 7 yellows = 2 matches; and 10 yellows = 3 matches. 1 red = 1 match suspension; 2 reds = 2 matches etc

He said "Help me out buddy - card me so I can be suspended long enough to go back to Brazil to be with the missus over the holidays. Do it and I'll bring you back a beach volleyball player"

He said it in Portuguese. The ref got confused and thought he said "Your sister is a hairy legged egg chaser" so booked him

His wife is having their first baby, he's been given the time off to go and spend with her, this was all in place before he got the card.

He is planning to bring his family out, his commitment isn't in question. Good article by Fred Woodcock, which may still be on the front page.

Daniel should be one of the clubs players who will be around for a while to come. Lets hope he brings his family over and then plays for the all whites

I'm just glad our season starts soon after end of the A-leagaue season, and takes us through to the start of the next one. It's like cellphones - what did we do before it....??

He said the ref was even worse than the touch judge on the far side. There's no way the ref could let that go without a card.
