I just noticed one of the front page stories said Diego was likely to be sidelined with some kind of "long term" health issue? I understand he came home during pre-season with the flu, but is there something more to it? Will he miss much of the season?

The story says, of Diego's chances of playing in the opening match: "One player who is not expected to be in the mix is attacking midfielder Diego, who could be sidelined with a long-term problem."

Yeah, I read that as well. It all sounds very mysterious! Hope it doesn't end up being anything too serious.

One player who is not expected to be in the mix is attacking midfielder Diego, who could be sidelined with a long-term problem. Herbert will find out this week whether he will have the services of Chinese striker Jiang Chen, though he said it was looking "more favourable than not at this stage".

To me it sounds like it's a "one-off" occurence of a long-term problem, rather than a long-term injury that will rule him out for months. Am I reading that right? Maybe I'm just a bit optimistic.

If it is the situation I describe above, it could just be his sinuses playing up.
