Went to the match on sunday. Paid my $23 beforehand and got a great seat in Aisle 27. Sat down with my pie and enjoyed the prematch entertainment.
Then it all went horribly wrong, as soon as the Pheonix came out - everyone stood up. Fair enough, I thought.. nice way to greet the team on to the pitch.
5 minutes passed by, no one sat down. Then 10, then 20 and yes, you get the picture.. everyone stood up through the whole match.
I paid my money for a seat and ended up standing for the whole match, I was fuming - feel like asking for my money back, this never would have happened at the rugby.
There were also a couple of small people by us who couldn't see over the 6ft tall guys in front of them and saw nothing! - they weren't too impressed and have a definite case for a refund.
Is this going to happen at every match? - if so, I shall go back to watching the lions where everyone sits and watches the game closely.

Unless you're a visiting fan at Ibrox or Parkhead where you get ejected from the ground for standing up!! - A load of jambos are complaining that they got turfed out of Parkhead on Saturday for standing, and they had nothing but a wall behind them - nazi stewards & police!

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

RhyFC makes a fair call. I've had this done to me before, that is paid good money and not seen a jot. Make it clear that this is tolerated in 21 and 22  and X but for the rest let people do what they paid for SEE THE GAME. You don't have to stand up to make NOISE!!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Bullsh*t man. You can move, youre not obliged to make everyone around you sit, unless you pay for their seats.

football crowds stand!!! its f'in hard to sing lound when youre sitting down

when i was a kid I went to games with a seven gallon beer tin (empty) with a piece of wood bolted to the top for me to stand on

unless you've got weirdly short legs all you have to do is stand up then you'll see

maybe we need a zone next to the proposed family zone for people who can't (for health reasons or age) stand for 90 mins (I'm attempting to be serious)

I moved from my allocated seat to the yf so i wouldn't annoy people but YF is gonna get too full for that soon

it took about half an hour and about 10 posts, but somebody finally took RhyFC's bait.

Man, what's with all the moaning? I only realised that we were all still standing in the YF zone about 30 mins into the game. Prob sat in my seat 3-4 times max, and only to eat a burger.

Didn't buy a seat by the looks of it, brought a section of concrete to stand in and sing til' my lungs bleed. God damn it was fun, still buzzing...

What a crock. You don't pay $23 to 'see the game', If you go to the game you go for the atmosphere as much as the game. You can 'see the game' from the comfort of your couch at home- if you want to watch it its probably a better view anyway. Sorry but I think the two of you who are complaining would be outnumbered by 99% of the fans who I'm sure loved the experience on Sunday, whether sitting or standing. And as suggested- why not just get up and move?!

Get a box seat then, you pay $23 for entry- not for what YOU make of YOUR time inside.. This aint Ruggedby.

Just get on the Fever buzz.

I agree with Rhyl FC, its a disgrace. I drove home at breakneck speed from the Warriors game (a mans game, Rugby League is, by the way) to watch this Feenix thing. What a load of old rubbish, loads of skinny blokes kicking a ball around. Whats all that about? No line-outs, no scrums being reset over and over again, not a big fat prop anywhere to be seen. Their shorts werent even stuck halfway up the cracks of their arses like shorts should be.

Then there was the crowd! I have never been so horrified in all my life, they were singing, for Gods sake! Whats wrong with these people? Theyre supposed to be Kiwis at a sporting event. They should sit there and keep quiet, apart from clapping their hands and chanting "Defence" twice during the game. These so-called fans were actually making all sorts of noise and had the cheek to look as if they were enjoying themselves. Itll never catch on, this football thing.

Right, Im off down the rugby club for a beer and a game of dominoes.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Here, here. Sit down, shut up and watch the game. Waste of money otherwise

And then falls asleep!!

Football. Had the worst time of my life. Can't believe I paid $28 to stand among a bunch or passionate people who seemed to enjoy themselves for nearly 2 solid hours.

I'm going to go back to reading all weekend.

You clearly missed the 10000 seats on the far side of the ground that were free and had perfect views.
