Discrimination???

OK guys...how is it fair that if we're winning with 10 minutes to go, it is ok for guys to take their shirts off, but if women want to make a similar gesture and take off their tshirts, with a bikini top underneath for modesty,  Security will come and order us to cover up?  It's not about flashing our tits, it's just wanting to make a solidarity statement for our team  with everyone else. Who sets these rules? BNUgrrl2009-12-05 21:43:54

hey the guys around me all take their tops off and it is not a pretty sight! Just want to know why only guys are allowed to expose their flab on Tv?    Its not as if we're even wanting true equality and going completely topless

Flick an email to RedBadge and also give TonyP a pm and that should be the only people you really need to talk to.

Sounds like bollocks to me. They show women wearing hardly anything at the grounds in Australia, so not sure why the security here would kick up a fuss.

Phoenix are a religion, you are at the Phoenix match, clearly part of that religion, so if you want to take your top off with 10 minutes, they're clearly not respecting your religion.

Shocking.

On a side issue, were there far more of the Red Badge people than normal at this game? They allseemed to have their poker faces on - and I couldn't see Marley.

There were indeed Harry, there were some new faces. Some I recognised too. I'm still wondering what the hell they were doing there. Red badge have obviously dropped their already low level of acceptance.

HN is right in his usual "dry" way. Auusie sports coverage, especially at the one dayers, made it an art form to seek out the cutest, bi kini clad females in amongst the crowd. Back in the 80's and 90's it was almost a pervers paradise. Even the commentatots were passing remarks.

Gender discrimation brought on by female fans against Red Badge would be an interesting test case. It is after all a private function inside the ground. Not as if they were going topless along the railway platform or streets of Wellington.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

They had an interesting article recently in the Manawatu standard about what is indecent exposure (due to the boobs on bikes coming here), apparently tits are fine, the most women can get done for is disorderly conduct and even thats hard for them to justify, particularly at an organised event. I wonder what would happen if you entered the stadium wearing nothing but a bikini top. I vote this. MORE BIKINI TOP WEARING WOMEN AT NIX GAMES. Particularly behind the goal to put of the opposition shooters

Interestingly in about 5 or 6 weeks time there will be hundreds if not thousands of females wearing pretty much only bikini tops or such when the 7s are played

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Well if it's okay in the Manawatu then I vote we make this Saturday's game Bikini Saturday.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Its double standards at ROF. I think thats unfair. Prime example is you can wear bikini (this is for females mind you) at the world sevens. But if your've been told to put yr top back on then maybe you should complain to ROF gods.
