Generally though injuries come first then the "out of favour" bit, or struggles to find form etc.
I remember it took quite a few games for Zawada to finally score in his first season, and what he said when he did was he was surprised he hadn't been dropped yet and that the consistent run of gametime (for likely the first time in his senior career) enabled him to improve drastically.
Form outside of the A-League doesn't always translate to form within the A-League, particularly because the finals series and lack of relegation means teams can afford to be more patient and build towards something.

The off-season is a time of desperation – panning through vague social media posts for even the slightest twinkling of information. That's not really a see you soon message. If they've opted to leave instead of AKL, I'm good with that. Gutted, as it's only a financial decision due to circumstance (on the clubs part) that he's not staying with us :(
