Nuts.

A stadium that holds 50,000 and is an arse to get to.

North Harbour Stadium is accepted as the best football ground in Auckland and holds around 25,000 which is plenty for this game. This is a decision made by people who know nothing about football atmosphere or what the fans prefer. I would rather go to Hamilton than Eden Park.

As an Auckland based follower of the Phoenix, I will still go along, but a 3/4  empty stadium will not be the best advert for the A League.  Pretentious bollocks from a CEO who needs to get off his arse and talk to supporters.

Calm down!

There's no Auckland stadium that is easier to get to - Eden Park has the best public transport links.

North Harbour stadium would give a better atmosphere, but chances are you'll have a higher crowd at Eden Park, so it's swings and roundabouts ...

I must admit, I did enjoy the last trip. I've now found a place where I can leave my laptop and once back at the airport I can spend the night playing Fifa Manager. I know there's a bus that stops on Dominion road, I just need to know the number of it. I was given the wrong one and ended up walking 2km to Eden Park. Mind you the beer tasted good when I found a pub.

Can someone from Auckland tell me which bus to get from the airport? I know dominion road, but which stop should I get off at please?

There are two Airport buses - one goes up Dominion Road, make sure you're on that one and not the Mt Eden Road stop. Ask to get off "at Valley Road". From there, turn left into Walters Road and Eden Park is about 5 minutes walk.
