I have to say...occurding to the poll so far

El**ch is worse than George??????

come on the guy scored a decent goal, and also was watching a game on youtube where he drew defenders off Smeltz with a run, and Smeltz scored...

El**ch wasn't as bad as some make him out to be - he's seemingly reached some kind of cult status wherein what actually happened is thrown out the window and replaced with fictional accounts.

Sure - he wasn't good - but he was better than George..

had to google it, but nicely put Ballane

he was not our worst player by some distance,

crap attitude it seems and struggled with confusion over just how big a marquee he was supposed to be , but i'd have a player with his skill in the squad ahead of quite a few of the others in our first season outfit

there's a bit of bandwagon hysterical blindness going down I suspect

Every team needs a figure of derision...we have them in the opposition; there are plenty in the media; can't see any harm in having an ex-player up there too!

El**ch is better than Cleberson - woah - oh oh oh !

But I'd still rather have neither of them - woah oh oh oh!

I think what people hate is his lack of effort, and the fact he used us as an 'in between' club, and yeah just his overall attitude.

Cleb and George however always gave 200%, so you cant really compare..

I thimk a lot of the issue is around expectation, he was our Marquee player, came from a Premiership club (I think, Fulham?) and it was our first season.    Rightly so, we expected him to be a class player with a great attitude.  He was neither.  Was he our worst player?  Maybe not.  Our most dissapointing?  Yes.

George and Cleberson gave there best for the club and always seemed to have the right attidude even if the skills weren't there. El**ch came over from Fulham thought he was the man then moaned if he got taken off or some didn't pass to him. Like DLB said we had high expectations for him which he failed to fill.

I wish Cleberson worked out. His attitude was awesome.

El**ch was our worst player in my opinion. the gap between abilty and end product was huge compared to those other squad players.

El**ch is the worst player in the clubs history. He deserves all the sh*t he gets on his return and more.

But he kept playing, the others couldn't get on the paddock. Probably a bit harsh on him. El**ch was the worst of the regulars

I didn't particularly like El**ch but he was not anywhere near as bad as he was made out to be, and there were players in the squad worse than him.

He did give you the impression of arrogance and a bad attitude though.

George merely lacked in ability. El**ch was crap by choice. I know which one irks me the most.

"The worst player in the clus history"  I've read some silly things on this forum (and written a few )but this is amazing!

His attitude sucked, so did his work rate....but there were worse players at the club last year!!!!

Don't be surprised if he comes back to the ROF and plays well against us. He may have had a bad attitude but he did have some skill.

Last time im posting about him i hope. Yep shyte attitude etc etc bla bla bla. But i dont think i have heard anyone question just why we invested in someone as a marque player who was so obviously out of condition and just didnt look as if he was ready to play 90mins.Just maybe our scouting wasnt up to the level it should have been.

Surely if your signing someone to be your marque player they should be ready to front immediately.Sure hope they give porter a full Vet check if he is coming.

LAB tests, CAT scans and everything else.

El**ch is a talented player and he has been in top form in past (skillless nobodies don't make the Premiership) but he treated the club and his teammates like sh*t. Skill-wise he was possibly the best player in the clubs (short) history but he certainly had the worst attitude and that's what we all hate.

According to the official A League statistics, he was the worst Phoenix player. Ever.

surely Felipe was the best skilled wise, I can't ever remember El**ch beating a player.   most of the time he wasn't even able to make enough space for a cross.  I hope we never have a player with his atitude as I would much rather post about how great the players are.  this seasons going to be great, we have cut all the weak links and all the signings have been quality.  Hopefully they can added some more talent to fill the other striker postion and right back spots.

Ballane, you said once before on here that it's time to put our marquee behind us and go forward. You are of course quite correct. I too have had my shots at El**ch but I am worried it may come back to bite us. No doubt he'll be aware of this and will have an extra determination to score a cracker against like like the sole goal he scored for us. I hope of course he doesn't but knowing our luck...................

If the poll said "the worst footballer" I wouldn't have picked El**ch. But he was definitely the biggest waste of a roster space.

Also, the biggest waist.

The fact that he clearly wasn't fit later in the season was a combination of his own laziness and bad club management. All clubs these days employ a fitness trainer, what was Phoenix's doing for his money last season?
The club were paying him big money, and should have insisted that he got fit, even to the extent of formulating a fitness plan specifically for his needs and making him do extra training to get fit. They didn't. This was their fault as much as his.

If the Nix don't get a quality striker - and I'm not sure that Porter is the solution - then the club can kiss goodbye and chances of a top four finish.

he kept playing coz of the $$$...the club made a big investment in him (nearly as big as Ahmed's pie budget) and would've been praying it paid off and he'd come right
