Bumped into Siggy in Christchurch last Friday when the 'deal' was being talked over.

Said he would only be playing for about 10 games at this stage.
Wanted to get back to where it all started were his words.

That's what I was thinking as well. But like I say, they were his words. I think he might've been meaning grassroots CHCH football.

Good call - he's much more German tank/cyborg than Russian submarine for sure. LOL

Not if you watched Sterling in these last few England games. Yes he is a talented young player, He should have stayed at QPR but thanks Liverpool, you scored us a few mill when you sold him to City. At Liverpool he was very good, at City he hasn't.

Actually, I change my mind, I agree with you. Besides, Sterling has been crap at City, but, actually, Appiah has never failed to score in a Premier League game in which he's taken part. A goal for every game played, brilliant!

Stein Huysegems played 16 times for Belgian Second Division club Dessel Sport last season (twice as many games as the previous season when he was plagued by injury) and scored four goals.

However, he still missed long stretches of last season such as not playing at all between September and December and missing the whole of March:

Ernie off-loaded him at the right time with his fitness now a constant problem.

EXCLUSIVE: Central Coast are set to strengthen their attack with the signing of former Wellington duo Blake Powell and Kwabena Appiah.

FourFourTwo understands both forwards are set to sign for the Mariners.

I imagine Blake is already a done deal. Obviously missing Sydney, probably sorted out this deal and cut his contract with us. Happy for him.

It's good to see Blake pick up another A-League contract. CCM are a little hopeless right now, but he's got his foot firmly in the door. Good luck to him.

As for Appiah, well... yeah... Mariners are a bang-average club signing a bang-average player.

Blake will score goals and Appiah will entertain the crowd with his amazing ball control. Every club needs some humour factor.

I'm glad he went to the least offensive club in the greater Sydney area. Hopefully he bangs them in against everyone except us

I know everyone can't help but bang on about how Appiah isn't much of a footballer, but for me I'm glad he's going to still be in the A-League. Any Kiwi that's playing in a pro environment I'm happy to see - and who knows, he might even improve ? Unlikely but you never know..

If Appiah can develop some control he could be deadly with his pace.

He's only 21, still has plenty of time... look at Watson, until last year he was to fat, too slow and not committed enough to make it.

Will never be a top footballer.

Didn't realise he was so old!

Who knows, maybe he will do a Krishna and surprise some people. A good run of game time might help him... he's only lived off the bench for the last few seasons.

Except Krishna's improvement came from a year in a professional environment, it was late but then he was an amateur until late as well. Apiah has spent five years as a professional under two of the top coaches in the A-League and is still very raw.

Krishna was banging in goals for fun in the ASBP and for Fiji before coming to the Nix. Is he really that much of a surprise?
