Went down to watch Waikato vs Auckland today. Ex player David Mulligan was featuring in midfield. And what a performance he had. He was absolutley outstanding. Scored two cracking free kicks and hit the bar frm 30odd yards out. While Mulligan was awful at right fullback for the nix, he showed that he is clearly a quality playmaker. Was defiantly a mistake letting go of him Ricki, he could have been the playmaker that we lack at the moment.

Am sure there is already an ex players thread somewhere. There is also a David mulligan thread.
But yeah, remember there is a quality difference between a league and playing Waikato in the nzfc. We did have many players in front of him in both midfield and defense when we were playing very well last season.
Could be argued we couldn't kept him instead of going for toto. But ricki obviously decided he'd rather take a chance on toto becoming good than keep a player who hasn't managed to be anything but a squad player.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
