They did say that if it was funded they wouldn't object to a NYL side from here but most Phoenix folks choked at the suggestion due to funds.  Hopefully others can remember some of the other answers.

They reckon they will come and try and do a proper Fan Forum next season.

The ADP/Emerton/Neill situation and apparent lack of financial support for us signing those players was not brought up in the Q&A, maybe someone asked individually before/after it.

One thing to come out of the night is that El Grap's fetish for flares isn't going to be satisfied anytime soon.

Maybe the Welnix guys need to go and talk to Owen Glen.

They are considering an extra sub on the bench.

They will try to avoid clashes with next season's games and international windows (apparently "it's hard")

Generally they seem to like us and want the Nix in the league.

They don't appear to have considered putting games free-to-air on Prime, but they might now we asked them.

There was a question about referees too ...

Ard Righ asked if FFA were able to put any pressure on Sky TV to show all the A-League games live. We were told that the current deal that the A-League have with Sky has about another 12 months to run, and when it has run out they will look into trying to get all games live as part of the new deal. Ard Choille asked if they are able to start streaming games online, but the answer was that this would be a significant cost to the FFA and not likely to happen soon.

On referee's, de Bohun noted that many of the 'shockers' have come from experienced A-League refs, rather than the newer refs. He said that a priority is to have more refs in the pool of refs to choose from, rather than just the 6 or 7 like they have had to choose from in previous seasons.

He also said that he doesn't think the refereeing has gotten worse, it's just that the standard of the players is rising much faster than the standard of the refs. Basically ruled out having professional refs as well.

The answer was that they have increased the pool of refs this year and the youngsters have been good.  There have been some real clangers from the experienced refs though.

They think the overall standard is good, not great and that perhaps the league has advanced quicker than the officials have and they are working hard on bridging that gap

Best thing for me was that Gallop considers the Phoenix to be "an important part of the league", and he thanked us for being the only club to not have ever had a flare at a home game.

Any one ask about them scheduling Melbourne & Sydney double headers? Best chance for us to get some away travel going.

There you go giving El Grap a challenge.

Seems like it is hard enough to convince them to not schedule games during All Whites fixtures, let alone be nice to the travelling fans.

My question about improving the coverage of all ALeague games on Sky TV eg get them all on live, as the delayed games and general coverage/scheduling is shit.

Damien mentioned one aspect of the Australian coverage deal was the free-to-air channels, so we mentioned Sky having Prime TV here also, maybe they can discuss getting games on Prime.

Didn't ask about MRP or scheduling double-headers, but good to hear they are looking at organizing a bigger/proper fan forum for next season in Wellington.

Question about the online streaming, I think Fox plans to stream sport online, and I believe the WLeague are also looking at streaming online, but whether FFA could do it directly, cost was mentioned as being an issue.

What were they actually here for?

Good to hear about a proper fan forum next season.
