Just reading the tribalfootball article on the home page and wondered if the fan made ads have been prominent over in Oz or on Sky TV?
 
The pre-season youtube clips looked good so it would be a shame if they never made it to air.

I believe the campaign never flew as it should of because the FFA were so focused on the World Cup bid (ARF!) that this never got the focus/funding it could/should have.

They were on foxsports news channels for the earlier months of the season in oz

Hopefully FFA will use the theme again next season.  Maybe we could use Marco in an ad?

I thought the ads on YouTube were absolutely brilliant. Would have been great to see them aired, particularly if a Nix/YF one had been made. I hope they return to the idea, I reckon they would generate a lot of interest in teams and the league.

What would the YF one be though? 30 seconds of some guys in the BB drinking cider? While we're fairly vocal we don't have a 'signature move' like Sydney with tifos and Melbourne with stealing stuff...

they were aired in australia

i saw alot of the sydney, northqueensland and melbourne victory ones

recently (last 2-3) months the brisbane ones are the only ones that remain

the perth ones with fowler were the first to go, finished after about 6 weeks into the season

And a lot of other things tbf but Marco's story is widely known now.

Get about 30 or 40 Fever-ites turning up into well known Wellington places, such as Reading Cinema Foodcourt or Te Papa, wearing a Phoenix shirt underneath a jacket. Act as though nothing is going on, but when the leader gives a signal everyone takes their jacket off and reveals the yellow, then sings Wellington is Wonderful once, puts their jacket back on and then disperse back into the surroundings.

Different shots around Wellington showing 10 mns to go in various things; ie clock showing 10 to 5 and a guy in an office gets his shirt off. Teaching announcing 10mins to go in and exam and a student whips off his shirt. Train station anouncing that the train will be arriving in 10 mins and the shirts come off etc. Finish of with 10 to go in a game (v the Tards of course) and the whole YF going for it.

Beats the hell out of the effort i thought of on the bus this morning:
 
Bunch of guys sitting shirtless on deckchairs drinking cocktails, etc looking like a summer holiday. Talk about footy, make a comment about being "glad the off-season's over" . Guys get up and walk off, wide shot reveals they're in snowy wastes of Antarctica. Next shot same guys doing shirts off in the FZ, in wind and rain.

I had a vision this morning of a planeload of Nix fans of to OZ. Loudspeaker " Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.. we will be landing in 10 mnutes" Cue shirts off and general mayhem, while stewardesses run round trying to restore order " Excuse me sir, the seatbelt sign is on" ..

I still like your idea of moob augmentation (reverse liposuction?) and then a shot of the FZ @10 mins.

Would need an M rating with warning for young children at the front however.
