There's a massive whole in the right defense, they are gonna get massacerd no exceptions if they dont close it, and Ferrante what the fcuk!!??! he's spoild about 3 goal scorring oppotunities, why not have Coveny or Aloisi take the free kicks, they got all the experience and skill in the world!

I was actually going to start a topic "Ferrante is crap". I'd say raf is better than him-maybe we can do a swap with team wgtn. The right back was pretty average as well..

Raf is much better. Real good guy as well. He can hit a ball and distribute well in midfield. Plays for Olympic as well so that would make 2 Olympic players in Phoenix!!

Sorry guys Ferente made my blood boil against ccm . for a player in such a controlling position he makes bad choices , sh*t passes , PISS POOR wasted free kicks and what is the worst thing is he making other players push out of shape ( i don't think they trust him ) bugger it , put him on the bench for now  ( he'll get better -- I'm sure hes trying but NOW is not the time )

Yeah he needs more time on the bench and get up to speed.

You can see hes trying very hard but he has low confidence at the moment and we have a case of downward spiral where everything gets worse for him.

With the way he's playing, it's hard to believe that he's Kisnorbo's favourite player.

maybe we can get that long haired random from the photo against melbourne to come and play.

offensively he wasted chances and defensively he left a huge hole at right hand side, you just can not leave their winger to attack O'Dor like that!!!  Actually I would play Smeltz as attacking midfielder, he showed excellent vision last night!

May just be me but I think he needs an spell on the bench. Very wasteful with chances and doesn't offer much really!!! Early goals are a killer and the Phoenix made heaps of chances so not all despair :)

Like for like swap this week, as Ricki said on ZB, this week he'll have a full squad to pick from so methinks Ferrante will get some pine time and Tim Brown will start. He spoke positively about Lia as well so I think we could see him or Christie slotting into right back v Jets.

And I'd give Coveny a rest, he hasn't impressed me much lately (I know he's got experience but still). I think Brownlie or Costa should start in his place. I know Costa's young, but youth shouldn't be a reason to give someone minimal gametime, I want to see what he can do at this level.

Ferrante played well at right back against Sydney - I think they should slot him there and see how he goes - cannot be any worse than Old or O'Dor so far

Seeing as ricki's got an open spot why not bring in Raf and see how he runs in giving ferrante a run for his money.

And what i didnt understand was why they kept him on freekicks. Get rosco to drill it in low or daniel to put in in behind.

Not ferrante to take some 3yr's olds out in the crowd.

Raf was average in the old NSL for the Kingz. The A-League is much high quality and he's now a few years older too so I really can't see him doing that well if he did get given a go.

We don't need another midfielder, we already have Brown and Johnson to come back from injury. Get both of them in the starting line up and get rid of Christie and Ferrante. The extra spot in the line up should be used for a Right back (although I think Old should be given a chance first) or possibly a striker.

I cam on here to rant about Ferrante's ability (or lack of it) in front of goal.  I thought when they went to make a sub that at last Ferrante is coming off.  I was gutted they left him on.  He is sh*te.

Glad I'm not the only one pissed off with Ferrante. Thank god Tim Browns fit.

Agree with loyalgunner too, swap Covs with Brownlie.

hate to do it but..I think ferrante is the worst signing in the team....he gets alot of the bal but has very poor distribution......can only decribe him as a talentless hack

At least he seems to try though and gets involved. Sure, he is probably going to kick the ball into the crowd once he gets it, but i'd prefer that to Christie who doesn't even get involved and is almost always anonymous.

Ferrante is obviously not a first choice player in the starting 11 & is just filling the spot until a better quality player becomes fit....I woul drather have christie playin than ferrante any day...I am sure that with a few more games christie will improve somewhat...I really cant see this happening with ferrante

Yeah agreed that he isn't a first choice player. As I said above, Brown or Johnston will be taking his spot once they are fit.

Jesus Christ, it's two bloody games!  So far we've only seen about 15 or 16 of our players play a cometitive match.  Get some perspective.  He is not "crap", he did not have a great game on the weekend but who did?  All of this rubbish about him playing right midfield and drifting inside leaving a whole at RB is absolute bollocks.  He is playing in deep centre midfield with Ross, not at RM.  We are not playing 4-4-2, start opening your eyes.

Flip me!!  I agree JD.  Lets all just get behind the team.  Two games is hardly enough to start getting on the he is crap, he is rubbish tirade/rant.  Give him a break!!!

Before the season started it was the Jeremy Christie/Steven Old is crap brigade.  Now everyone is praising Christie and can't wait for Old to get back in the side.  My god people on here need to get some perspective

And as for the Raf is better than Ferrante rubbish, let's get it straight.  Raf is a great guy and a good Central League footballer.  But he just does not have the quality to play in the A-League, period.  Let's just nip that right in the bud...cause it just shows how ill informed some people's judgements are.  If anyone is the next cab off the ranks it will be Andy Barron, who is an All White unlike Raf.
