We have had an offer from Bumper ball http://www.bumperball.co.nz/ to host a Yellow Fever tournament with funds raised going to Fever Dreams.

We would be looking for minimum of 8 teams to play a 5 a side tournament with unlimited rolling subs.

It would be $100 per term and we would have 2 pools of 4 so that everyone gets at least 3 games. Then we will also have a semi and finals to find a winner.

Games are about 5 mins a side and the tournament would be about 3 hours over an afternoon.

Please get in touch with me whether you are making a team or want to take part and don't mind being put together into a team.

Hey Matt,

THis might make it extra difficult, but perhaps we could organise for a weekend where there is a big contingent from Australia coming over. I know Perth are doing their 'tour of duty' over here this year. Although it's not until Feb. Might give us extra people and boost the gggggggrivalry.

I think that is a great idea, should try find out when people are travelling. Know Roar and WSW are planning trip here this year as well as the Perth lot.

Great idea. Could probably get a team together if it goes ahead.

Excellent, I'm keen for it to go ahead. Discussing with Roar fan bases that are travelling to see if they want to put a team or two together. If they will then may look at the weekend of the 9/10th January.

Due to fragile nature can't play but will pull a skirt on and cheer lead for the cause.

A few people may still be on holiday at this time of the year.

That will help sell tickets for the event then.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Yeah I realise people may still be on holiday then, but thought there would be enough people around to do it and to add in the Roar fans would be fun. Everyone knows Wellington is the best away trip in the A-League

Ok, so I'm going to go ahead with it on the 10th January, venue to still be confirmed. Would be nice to do it outdoors but that is reliant on the weather so if anyone else knows of a space we could possibly hire, let me know.

Please contact me at matt@yellowfever.co.nz to confirm your team, money not required at this stage but we need to make at least 8 teams for the tournament.

I'll see if I can get a team together. Didn't get much response when the idea initially came up but might be different now it's confirmed.

That would be good, will take single registrations as well to form teams for people that want to take part but haven't got a team.

[/quote]Could actually be pretty bloody dangerous for spectators the distance some of the fever are liable to bounce when they get hit.

Unfortunately because not enough teams registered. We won't be going ahead with the BumperBall tournament this weekend. We may look at running it later in the year when it isn't holidays. Thank you to those who did register an interest in playing.
