Didn't stay to see the final result, but you can view pics of the entertaining match between the travelling Victory fans and our very own Yellow Fever lads here:

ref looks a bit dodgey!

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Looking at the YF lineup I'm wondering how many balls were used in this game?  Greene, Buckle and Jones would have needed one each to start with....

We're keen on a return leg in Jan now!

Big ups to Tony Morrison for setting up all the equipment. Join up for his twilight soccer http://www.sportzone.org.nz/ , buy his book, have his children

maybe Covs 10 years ago.
Dewhurst pulled the trigger at every opportunity - we lost four balls in the harbour.

Saw a couple of the Melb lads on the tv3 clip. Was good to have a yarn with them, especially about all the supporters group factions in Melbourne - there's about half a dozen of them.

He posts as 'beanhead117' on the victory forum. Top notch bloke, so much passion for an englishman.

As for Coveny look alike, beanhead looks alot arder and has a better first touch...Ive played futsol with him hehe real terrier.

Looks like fun, I want in on the return leg.

I've heard the term about the headless chook but who is the YF player in Pic 6. I don't remember seeing a headless person in the game.

Tony I think you'll find that Dewhurst was moving his head so quickly as to make it invisible to the camera .

Robbwatson - there are plenty more, I only posted a selection, so let me know who you are in the team pic and I'm sure I'll find something of you!

Cheers mate, but I wasn't on the team haha (though I had my Retro Ricki tee on underneath the Nix Kit just in case!) Was just a spectator cheering on the lads and enjoying the free extra scoop from Movenpick
