I do find the following a bit cringeworthy
"We love you Terry"
"Ricki Ricki give us a wave" (There's a time and a place for this one - half way through the first half I don't think is it.)

And due to the religous/political connotations to the song that inspired "No surrender to the IRD" - I ain't singing that one either

Anyway - I've done my bit for novel contribution to the Fever repertoire this season

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Indeed. We even got the tune for "stand-up" right (unfortunately no-one else stood up)

1 question though, am not sure why 'Oh wellington, is wonderful' never seems to last more than 2 or 3 times??? Any thoughts? it always takes a couple of verses for other aisle4s to get into it, then by the time they get going its stopped.

" I tried to chant back 'I'm only here cos i got free tickets cos i have two small kids who take all my money'......but it never got going."

It's funny how everyone else just stares at you with  a look of disbelief if you try raising your voice above their conversations isn't it?

That was easily the best atmosphere of the whole season, especially the last 10 minutes. Only topped by the two playoffs last year. I always make sure I get tickets in aisle 22, so I avoid the 'Sit Down' crew.

The person who sold us our tickets described the seats wrong. Somehow halfway up became the very bottom. We found some empty seats halfway up for the first half, but watched the second from the bottom of Aisle 21. Someone kept biffing bottle lids at my mate, which was a bummer considering it was his first game, we'd driven down from Auckland and WE STAND UP AT THE FOOTBALL. Some people just don't get it.

All in all a fantastic night though!

Please point out the plebs telling you to sit down in the YF zone.
We can point out the finer details of being in the YF zone or I'll just sit on them :D

Thought 'No surrender to the IRD' was one of the best original chants of the season!

I am not a fan of the out of tune 'Stand UP for the Phoenix' though.

Best game/atmosphere for me was the Jan 2-0 win against the Tards.

Dunno what the ChCh game was like ( ).

4-0 Jets game Dec 18 for me. Easily.

Chch was cool in a different way and then just went nuts when Siggy scored.

I'm Irish Catholic in heritage and anti-partitionist in politics, but I still think it was a great chant.

Agreed. In fact, I think using it in such a facetious context totally subverts the original meaning, and only adds to the humour (strokes chin).

very entertaining, when greenacre broke through for the first goal, and I stood up and everyone else seemed to lean forward, rather than stand up in anticipation.

I dont get it but then I have been spoilt. Nothing tops 45 mins of solid singing and clapping in the away end at highbury.
