A creative thought here

Just thinking of maybe having a second yellow fever zone at the other end of the stadium
It would definitely up the ante on atmosphere as there would be two sides of the stadium chanting through out the games.

I liked the sounds of having competitions between the two fever zones on whos the loudest :D

What are all your thoughts? e.g. Who would be there, t shirts, names, ALL YOUR THOUGHTS.

wont work BECAUSE acoustics in the stadium are sh*t. Standing on other side of stadium to the fever zone the noise is all out of time with the hands. It's very confusing.

Obvious question.

Why bother ?

The current zone is near the tunnel, and can be in fine voice.  What is gained from halving it ?

Besides moving it near any opposition fans seems a permanent recipe for disaster in this league, see Melbourne and Adelaide.

Half? No start a new.
Im not sure we see many away fans in our grounds do you?

There were 30 or so from Sydney, 20 or so from Melbourne.  Enough that a few drunken t**sers on either side can cause trouble when close to each other.

Best avoided for me.

would avoid the current problem suffered by those who don't have tickets in the fever zone (who have to try and get past the stewards)

i don't see why the prevent people from going there when there are empty seats though. its even more annoying when they can't change my seats to aisle 21 either.

I really don't want to be in a group of fans that don't sing more than 2 chants a game. I mean are There any tickets for sale in aisle 21? or we have to season ticket it?

There are plenty of tickets in 22 and 21.  The first week they were checking tickets the front and back of the zone had close to 10 rows empty.

People keep saying this, but fact is, if you stand up and chant at any part of the ground that isnt the feverzone, security go all nazi on you and pretty much tell you to sit down and shut up.

I've got Aisle 21 tickets for every game I've been down for, no problem.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Piss off and support the Victory at the Telstra Dome if you want more than one set of vocal supporters groups...

What's with that outburst C-diddy. This guy is only trying to improve things. Can't see what the problem is.

Don't split the Fever Zone!
We are in alse 23 and we have no problem in getting in on the chants. By the way things are shaping in our area we will be standing for the full ninety as well. So th eFever Zonew is expanding along asles so no need to begin a new one.

Good ideas here, definitely the need for the fever zone to expand a little.
I agree on what tegal said about how if you stand up and chant anywhere other than the fever zone then those bloody pineapple assed  stewards go ape sh*t at ya. f**k it just go ape sh*t back at them. Bloody rugby W##nkers

Intersting thoughts boys.  Had a big following up at top of 24 on Friday night.  Still guys chanting against the FZ.  Told a couple of them to join in chants rather than chanting against YF.  Then the C word came out in one chant which was frowned upon quickly.  We try and police the chants up the back and I think that to join forces across 21-24 is only making things better!!! No point splitting up!

Maybe a 2 way radio system between instigators of the 2 groups to get the chants going conseculatively. I'm keen.  Anyone else??

Great if thats the way you choose to act i sure hope you get what they will dish out which is likely to be removed from the stadium.Last thing YF needs is twats like you behaving in that way and pretending you are part of yellow fever, the stewards clamped down only after some other fool did something was blown right out of proportion. Does seem that some who unfortunately attend  and profess to be YF are simply using YF as an excuse to get liquored up and behave like total dicks.

Why does it need to expand its not sold out yet and there have been heaps of people bitching about the chanting not working,so know you want to split it and make it even less affective. It may work if the crowds were large but we arnt there yet with constant large attendances.

Only a few more home games to go and then you'll all know for next season and hopefully we can end this boredom......

Now your assuming i would act like a pissed dickhead which i wouldnt. Everyone seems to think of "splitting" the yellow fever zone, im more talking about creating a new one from guys that are not in the fever zone to start off with, especially me and a few boys from out of town.

We can't chant for sh*t sitting down.

More and more aisles are getting into the chanting already, I don't think we need to go and forcibly try to carry it too far.  The fever effect is best when everyone's together and we get that buzz going - its infectious and will spread on its own (as it has been).  I'd rather we didn't try to overextend ourselves, some people may not like the football crowd "activity" (read: lazy beggars) and if we go trying to split the zone its most likely to be shot down and make everyone unhappy.

I think with such high attendances at games like Adelaide and Galaxy, the real kicker that will boost ticket sales is the next rugby season.  People will remember the buzz of a football crowd then go to watch the hurricanes or whoever and (hopefully) sit there watching the game wondering why there's no excitement or emotion to what they're observing.

A football crowd is a relative thing, a lot of people may need to go sit at a dull rugby match again then realise that there's no atmosphere.  Hopefully then they'll anticipate the nix new season  and get back down to the stadium to be a part of the football experience.  Rugby heads can be a stubborn lot but with any luck the welly teams will have a horrible season and people will reflect "well if I'm going to watch a team lose, I'd rather go to a game with atmosphere."

Okay sorry if i overreacted. Think Tony P has mentioned before that they may need to expand YF zone next season.Hopefully if this happens someone can get it through to ticketec that they need to explain about YF zone maybe also those who held back from buying season tickets this year realise that maybe its best to get one next season.

it may work, there will be no trouble with AWAY fans whoever said that. People here are too sensable and there are only 5-10 away fans any way.

10 vs 15,000 you do the maths

this will not be a repeat of the gates of fire!!!

as for the stewards, they are stupid turkeys following orders.
