Riera really was the last thread holding our defence together.

Will Dura ever stop complaining? Getting sick of it. Reckon it rubs off on the rest of the team too.

yeah, this has become increasingly a thing over the past few years. argues every point. never their fault. refs always wrong. it's a victim's attitude

And to think I spent fifteen minutes refreshing my browser and clearing cookies to get sky go working for that...

Disapointing. I hope our new CB is signed soon.

Dura's age is starting to show, our midfield doesnt appear to be fit enough to go a full 90 yet.

The Phoenix are the QPR of the A League, always go out in the first round of the cup so to speak.

He has gotten two cards overturned from memory though, or maybe it was one card given and another retracted, so he's going to keep doing it.

Extremely poor second half! Attack not really an issue but, defence and defensive midfield a real fudging problem! Dura just not up to it really hope Ernie has something up his sleeve transfer wise?Hope Lia is not the preferred starting option going forward either!

The match highlighted a real lack of pace in our spine. Dura and Lia especially. Dura was poor tonight. I agree he needs to stop whinging.

Our transition was very poor in the second half. Hate to say it as I think Slater is a tool but Roly and WeeMac were far too wide. Lia was very exposed.

Great first 30 but once WSW settled and won the midfield we had no answer.

The transfer thread is bang on - we need a Riera replacement, CB with wheels, and a RB. I am concerned that Lia, who most of us rate as a squad player at most, is still starting ahead of an import...

I couldn't watch the game but it sounds like the consensus is that we need to replace Siggy, Manny and Riera. What a shock.

Did Ridenton play RB? Was A-Rod on the bench?

hardly Dura's fault that it's our same defence from last year minus two of our better players in Siggie and Riera

Yeah after 30 mins we got rolled in midfield. Need a RB, CB and a Paaratalu type in there

We looked a lot better when Roly played more centrally along with McG and Kosta hung wider along with Watson.

I'm not sure why they push wider in the second half, but the shape didn't work for us and we began to get stretched. Ridenton struggled defensively but looks ok going forward... is this his best position going forward?

Durante was a little slow and seemed to lack the ability to make decisive decisions at critical moments... is heworried about making a mistake and exposing a fairly new and limited back line.

Finkler can hold up a ball and made some nice balls but didn't get enough of it in the second half.

With Krishna back, i'd drop McG and play a top three of Kosta, Krishna and Watson who impressed me last night with his running off the shoulder of a defender. Considering his lack of pace compared to Kosta and McG he could teach them a thing or two about avoiding the offside trap.

Last night for me was slightly concerning. I know it's early days but to blow a two goal lead and then let them run rings around us in the second spell is worrying. Thought ridenton played well for RB, lovely ball for the second goal. Finkler looked spent and Roly and wee Mac lost a lot of possession. Really hope we'll get this CD soon because from last nights showing dura and fox are a cut off the mark.

I only watched the first half, and was quite impressed overall. Knew the defence would be weak, given we're still to sign half of it, but the attack was extremely promising.

Mglinchey looked good for me - he will be a better player now that he has more quality around him. He's a team player, so contributes much more when his teammates are of a higher quality.

Obviously didn't see the 2nd half, when it sounds like we got bossed in midfield, and the defensive worries were more apparent.

Second half Roly had one of those performances that frustrates me so much, poor decision making and too many touches. Slows the game down and boxes himself in.

i think the first goal was completely his fault, had he not had an air swing they'd never have scored. in saying that, the central midfield was left wide open and whomever was playing right back was trash all game.

I mentioned this a couple of seasons ago. Ernie needs to tell him to pull his head in.
