And how far have we/they progressed?

Not as far as I'd have liked, nor as I'd have hoped... and more alarmingly, not at the same pace of other clubs. Yes, they've put some structures in place around the team - and have increased the clubs role in youth development (whether that's their responsibility is a separate discussion).

There was the Morgan-led  hoo-ha about playing style which resulted in Ernie coming on board; and whilst most of us liked his personality, honesty, and engagement, as well as the football he tried play - with the exception of Burnsy burning for a few months; the results haven't come. And nor have the "fans".

They managed to gain a contract extension which of course is a huge positive; though I've seen little evidence of any change that will enable achievement of the FFA's much vaunted metrics (eyes and arses). Having said that, for me, the ultimate metric is on-field performance, and in this area we've been at best stagnant. Realistically, we've fallen further behind.

It's time things changed - what we've been doing hasn't been working. I appreciate there's probably(hopefully) a lot going on "behind the scenes" that most of us mere fans/members aren't privy to. These are smart, successful people - but I'd be surprised to see things continue as they have for much longer. or perhaps I'm just hopeful.

And perhaps it starts around midday. Here's hoping.
