That would be a very worthwhile thing to do.
In the meantime I have a file which I use to help me stencil the letters onto the fabric for painting. I can't attach it here from work, but here is what I did:
1. Open word, set the page to landscape.
2. Turn gridlines one. (In word 2010, go to the Page Layout tab, click Align (far right), and then click Show Gridlines. (You can't print them unfortunately, but see below to get around this.)
3. I use font = Arial. For a banner with two lines of text set the Font Size to 90. For a 3 line banner set the Font Size to 45.
4. Set the paragraph spacing to Before 18pt and After 12 pt.
5. Type your wording.
6. Take a Print Screen screenshot.
7. Open MS Paint, paste into there.
8. Use the select tool to select an area 30 squares x 30 squares.
9. Cut, and open a new document, and paste.
10. Save and print.
For a 1.5 metre x 1.5 metre banner each square in your 30 x 30 grid is 5 cm x 5 cm on your actual banner.
Stencil the letters using a pencil and ruler. Masking tape the letters. Paint.
Viola.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
