Having decided to stick up a flag pole at home and fly the Nix flag I gave Flag Makers a call to organise a flag.

They were very helpful and offered to call the Nix office and get the ball rolling. The Nix office was very supportive of Flag Makers making a flag for supporters and will provide the official artwork.

Flag Makers have advised if we can get about 10 people interested they can do a screen print run for $170, incl. GST,  per flag. The flags will be the standard size of 1800mm x 900mm and come fitted with the attachments for the halyard to clip on to. The flag will be made of durable material and Flag Makers reckon the flag will last 12 months - with a little care i.e. take it down in storms and give it a wash every now and then.

If you only fly it in-season then, with a little tlc, you should get a good couple of years out of it.

If you are interested in a flag PM me your name, number and email address.

There's a fan on Fergusson Drive, in Upper Hutt. He's near where the old Quinns Post was. He's got a flag pole and had a Nix flag up for last season. Left it up until it virtually fell to peices. Hopefully he'll be in touch!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

LG, I'll PM you my email address and phone number. If you're driving past the guys house would you mind dropping in and giving him my contact details.

The more takers we get the cheaper the flag - and the more Nix flags flying.

Cheers

Flags are a good idea. But I'd be more interested if we could get a decent sized flag or banner into the game to wave around like a mad bugger.

There is one. Homemade on a bamboo stick. Looks good on the telly.
Looks bad when its waved in front of your face when you are trying to watch the game.

Unlike the Elrich flag poles that require substantial foundations due to their size, constant polishing and fold in half in the slightest breeze the Ullrich poles are made to last.

If we can get 10 supporters interested - if less than 10 then maybe a little more  - but around $170.

If you're interested PM me your design preference (1st, 2nd and 3rd) - I'll let you know final price then you can decide.
