I don't think copying the actions of GCU & NQF is such a great idea considering both those teams are going bust. The Phoenix have already shown they can fill the stadium with actual paying customers by winning games and making the finals.
It is only NQF that have financial trouble. GCU are owned by a bloke that has over 4 billion dollars.

GCU have not made one cent, so Palmer is forking out big time.
If I had 4 billion plus I'm sure putting a few million a year into a club would'nt faze me.
