I recall some discussions last year in the press where WPFC fans
received bad press fro some dubious behaviour. Today I spotted this
on stuff.co.nz (http://www.stuff.co.nz/4377793a10.html)
with respect tot he sevens tournament.
"Last year about 100 people were kicked out of the
stadium and 25 people arrested"
The sevens didn't get much (if any at all) bad
press for that at the time . . why is it that isolated
incidents at football games get bad coverage yet 25 can get
arrested and 100 people can get ejected from the sevens and still
the press promote it unquestionably as a family event? ? ?

Dont forget phil thats rugby and the press are not about to
have a crack at them far easier to line up someone like the
Phoenix.

Be biting the hand that feeds them to take too much of a crack at rugby, especially the sevens.
Far easier to whip up a bit of a story about football
hooliganism as the majority of people in NZ don't know, or care,
that much about the game and you can then trade on all the old
images of football violence from the UK from years ago.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
