How about an onboard Bar??

There's 4 fans (probably more of course) That travel from Palmy? Top effort! Mind you, when they come from Tauranga & Napier etc, it just shows the Phoenix are doing it right!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Isn't there a train from Waikanae? Ride the 45 to Waikanae and train from there. The train from Waikanae into Welly is only an hour (mind you that was in 97 *hic*)

yep, P'ram is the usual first point of departure for Wgn, altho holeinone might be trying to get the Palmy weekday commuter train to do a special phoenix run - and that train does have a bar on board

I'm drivin down to my first Phoenix game on Sunday. from Matata, near Whakatane, spose it'll take 7 hours. Don't think I'd confuse myself trying to catch a train at PN. Looking forward to being there. Bloc 5 were great, so hoping YF is at least that good.
Hope to meet at BB first, I'll be wearing my old Kingz shirt since I don't have any Phoenix gear yet.
I'll be coming, I'll be coming down the road...

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

The parking in Wellington is crap, I reckon your better driving to Paraparaumu station, parking there and getting a return ticket to the stadium. I have done this every game except one, and was sorry I didn't do it for that one too. The train takes you right to the Caketin door, $7 return, email me if you want more details zedned01@xtra.co.nz  It's a lot less hassle.Trains are every hour on the hour at least, sometimes every half hour. There is ample parking at Paraparaumu and it's free too. If this is your first game I'd suggest you buy your tickets before arriving at the station, as there have been huge queues for door sales, and it takes too much time.  If you haven't got your tickets already there is a Ticketek office in Waikanae New World.
Cheers

check your map - there's a rat-run that avoids the Otaki roundabout queue; the queue is guaranteed to be there most late Sunday afternoons
