I voted smeltz goal int he first game.

Elrich vs CCM pity it was his only really good moment

Yep, I've not been a big supporter of Elrich this season but that goal against CCM was superb.

2. Felipe vs SYD - "Felipe...awwwww wonder-strike"
3. Smeltz vs MEL - "Headed over the top and the Phoenix are level!!!!!"

Lia's beautiful volleyed cross to Smeltz v Perth (3rd game): Smeltz leans back to a ball slightly behind him and heads it into the top lefthand corner. Superb skill.

Elrich. What a way to start your Nix career. Perhaps we expected too much from him after that and perhaps he thought he'd deliver it. But we were both wrong sadly. Who knows? Perhaps if Elrich is signed up next season, he'll be a better player for it. I hope so if he is going to stay.

Smeltz was a great team moment but compared to elrichs strike it doesn't rate as highly for me

Elrich's goal was amazing but I liked the build up in Felipe's, the step over the cut back in and the placement, gold. Not to mention the celebration!

From a skill point of view, I'd rate Felipe's as best closely followed by Elrich.
From a wider perspective, Smeltz's equaliser against Melbourne was immense as it effectively brought us instant credibility.

Felipe vs Sydney away for me.....in the SFS, major away win for us, awesome run by Felipe, stepovers, class strike, commentators loved it, travelling YF on TV, shirts off for the Phoenix!!

I did enjoy Elrichs quality goal at home too, Lia's powerdrive vs Melbourne at the Dome and Ferrante's bullet too.

Oh and every single one of Smeltz's 9 goals - GOLD!

Felipe, because I was there and the silence from the cove was fantastic plus it led to our first ever win

I thought Smeltz's opener in the Adelaide away game was class too ...

Yep that was my fav Smeltz goal (the Adelaide one). People forget it because we got trounced afterwards.

Felipe vs Sydney, for the context - our first win! Technically, Elrich's goal was great, but we lost the match and he contributed very little for the rest of the season, so he misses out on my vote again only for the context.

Technically, it's much more difficult to run at and beat defenders with stepovers to create space for a shot and then smack the ball in the bottom corner with your weaker foot, then to do a quick shimmy with your hips and smash it in with your favourite foot.

I voted for Felipe's goal because essentially Elrich said he just thumped it and got lucky.  Felipe's goal was definately planned and really well executed to boot.

My Fav Smeltz goal too, voted for Felipe.
