No not the lame entertainment but whats with being able to watch Daniel and others show off their football skills at half-time.
As a coach I would want all of the players in the shed listening to the second half strategies and cunning plans or do they just sit around and looking at each other?

I think the idea is that Ricki tells them what to do before sending them out, so they should keep warm in the interim?

I think they were all going back in and out at different stages during the break. Besides, poor Daniel only played 3 minutes, whilst Hearfield played about 10-15..so not much point in having those guys in the shed...since after the break Ricky had a good 30 minutes to chat with both players.
that said, as a coach I'd require them to be in the shed only if I had something very important to say.
Otherwise, I'd be happy to know that my benchwarmers are indeed warm and ready to play, should the need arise.

But I see your point mate.

I think the only redeeming thing about rugby is that they get half time over with quickly, it seems like football is allowing  the time to get longer and longer.
Look forward to more bed making antics.

I'm baffled why they think we need entertaining.  Fifteen minutes to rest the voice, talk bollocks to those next to you, or catch up with those around, have a slash, fetch more beers, or have a smoke (if you are that way inclined) then back in to the stands.  Easy.

I know Adam has put on a little weight lately, but that is a bit harsh.

The half time thing is rigged anyway.

At the Victory game they pulled one guy out who was just sitting there with his arms folded while all around people were waving their C'mon Phoenix signs wildly.

Probably the mate of some guy at Welly Beds.

Not to mention the fact that talking bollocks requires the ability for someone to be able to listen to said bollocks, rather than not being able to get a word in edgewise due to the loud, obnoxious, and over amplified knob that some idiot gave a microphone.

Based on Friday night an ability to hit the 18-yard box will get you a start for the Phoenix next season.

anything has got to be better than that stupid bed making competition.

on the topic of entertainment, the phoenix seemed to draw better home crowds when the samba band played.

The point I'm making is that, while some and probably most of the people on this forum go to the game for the football, others, like families and people on the fringes of football attend for the entertainment factor.    For the Nix to be successful, they have to make a buck, so they need to compete for the entertainment dollar.    Watching two people try to make a bed is not entertaining, at least the samba offered something different.

Why not have two people making a bed while the samba band belts it out in the background? Then Robb spills Guiness all over the newly made bed? It's a winner.
