From what I've read, Cleberson at least is not your stereotypical Brazilian and will give as good as he gets.

True. A lot of NZers playing in Europe do really well there but could never really crack the AB's (e.g. Regan King) Good way of looking at it.

After the article in todays sport section of the dom post, alot of
people are getting excited about this season. Ive been talking to
people who i wouldnt have thought where football fans, and they are
all keen to go watch some of the games. Wellington just seems to
have a more positive outlook towards its sports teams.
Happy with Squad
Taking into consideration the last two years....
I am really impressed with the squad on paper..
Players who are able to play at the A League level.
Imports who have played at the top level in there own
country.
Enough quality Kiwis to make me proud.
This is exciting..
i would have to agree, besides a slight weakness on the right side
of defence im quite happy with the squad so far

I have a feeling some our brazilians will be quite good at
earning free kicks because of their size. at 174cm and 170cm
(felipe and george) are much like old Patricio Almendra in terms of
size, pretty tiny. If the skill is there, im sure opposing
defenders will have to committ to more stronger challenges,
especially if the brazilians are making dicks of them theres more
reason for them to start making dirty challenges.
I hope im right....
Our first season looks good on paper and i hope we can makethe
transition into the A-league smoothly and with the team we have,
maybe a playoff spot isnt asking too much. But first season will
always we exciting, no matter what.
Dont judge a book by its cover. Well have to wait and see, not
long now.
On paper we have a much stronger team than hoped for. Just gotta
see how the boys do in the Pre-Season Cup. That's when they get to
meet their future opposition.

Squad looks good...4 brasillians,,,,,,don't panic ....imagine
all the quality kiwi rugby players playing in Japan, Italy
etc....just because they don't play for Brasil national team, does
not mean they are crap or over the hill....
From the Phoenix Hong Kong supporters club...chapel bar Happy
Valley....at least 3 supporters in Hong Kong!
All we need is games on the internet or A-League on Australia
TV
Dr Migs....former CHCH United U12 player...

Hmm - not so sure. I've been following the Kingz, Knights and
now Phoenix for 7 seasons . One consistent thing I've noticed
is that the squad *always* impresses me on paper, then lets me down
on grass. Hoping for a change this time around!

Its hard to imagine why. They never win.
