I was a jets supporter until what happened to hearfield. Just wondering if I would be excepted into the Wellington Phoenix forum and support group as I will follow Wellington every match and I will go to as many games as I can in both Australia and NZ.

Also,
What do you think of Troy?
Think he will start?

He is a close mate of mine.

I know he loves it at wellington and thinks you are a very professional club

As he's also probably no fan of the pie eater, he should do alright with us.
About how many starts he gets, that will be interesting, we've got that many attacking midfielders he's going to have to impress Ricki at training and when he gets a start.

for mine,

"wlecome Sunbeam" - hell, we even accept 'ex'-rugby fans

just don't say anything positive about Joel - the bollock puncher -Griffiths

or anything too daft - actually scratch that, if you want to fit in talk bollocks (but never the  mention the 'bollock puncher" unless you are using terms of abuse about him - just think of it as a local custom)

re T H, not sure if he'll start early on as we have plenty of depth in midfield

some of us are wondering if he might get a run up front

(you might want to lose that Jet's sig round here)

Mate, if you've got even half a brain, you'll already have a giant head-start on most of the people who post here.

Whoops. I  post here! Which must mean... (gentle brain fade to black).

Seriously... welcome, cobber!

Welcome to the Fever mate, now all you need is your retro ricki and you'll fit in perfectly. I think Troy starting depends a lot on whether we sign Joel Porter. If Skippy doesn't join us we will need somebody to play support for Smeltz so Hearfield may well get a chance to cement a place in the side that way. Do you know much about his abilities as a striker as opposed to attacking midfielder? I can't really remember what he was like in the league last season. Does he have much pace?

If you support the mighty Nix then you're welcome.

One of our problems last year was the link between the MF and the strikers. We got the ball forward ok but the service into the box left something to be desired.

If we went for Smeltzy up top by himself (possibility with the current roster not taking into account future possible signings) then I can see a role for Troy in the "Support Striker" role.

Welcome on board - great to have another addition to the Australia branch of the Nix fan club.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Troy play - he is obviously a talented young player with plenty of potential. There's a lot of competition for the attacking midfield slots but I'm sure his opportuntiy will come - good luck to him.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Son you've done the right thing.

I would advocate the following piece of advice for you in respect of your mate and the Phoenix:

When the club has released players recently they have tried to do the right thing and find the player another team so as not to just cast him off adrift. They are not unreasonable men. They just want to create a winning club. Sometimes the pieces don't fit so they have to let them go. They let them go in a dignified manner and certainly leave the player with as much respect as possible. If you take that into account, you will see that the men that run this show are good people and try to do the right thing by the players and the fans.

You tell your mate to train and play hard, and we'll back him until closing time at the backbencher.

Beautifully put, A47.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

All clubs, ALL clubs, at some point in their existence make stupid, incompetent, sometimes even slightly malicious decisions which negatively effect players and fans. Does that mean you ditch your own club and go off cap in hand to support to another? I can think of any number of examples of English clubs that have been through absolute catastrophes of bad management, yet their fans still turn out loyally each week to support them. How many Phoenix fans out there will simply jump ship when the day inevitably comes that club management make a proper balls-up of something?

Just curious.

Ok lets look at this objectively.

Do you have a point Stop Out? Yes you do. Taking this in an alternative frame:

How many guys get shat on by chicks and you don't give a crap?
Now lets just say its your mate that gets shat on by a chick. You have an 'emotional' investment in your friends well being and you would most likely flip the bitch off and abuse her.

There is loyalty but when your mates gets sh*t on, is your loyalty to your mate, or to the club? I think that should just about end the bashing of this guy....

kind of a difference this guy is implying that he didnt really support the jets just coz his mate played for him so its hard to sya hes ditching his club coz if he supports the club his mate plays for which is now wellington i dont see the problem

okay i will lose the jets sig, i only made that coz I was sick of the jets forum and the way i was treated. so sorry for that being on there. okay, the jets i hate pashionately after what happened with troy and i might tell you what happened there if i get the okay from troy. joel griffiths is a w**ker, both in person and on the field. he thinks he runs that club and he nearly might, he isnt that good a player, this is shown in why he isnt in selection for the socceroos!

GVE is a sh*t coach, yeh he won the premiership on the back of joel. he has bad managering tactics and his technical ability leaves a lot to be desired. i could tell you more about how he is a very bad player manager but i wont.

troy has already told me that wellington is a far more professional club then newcastle and he has been there a week. so you are doing  something right over there. i was never really a fan over newcastle but only coz tryo was there. i dont really have an a-league side yet, but i watch every game on tv and go  to as many as i can.

troy will play hard in ne positon. he is suited to attacking midfield, but would play well with two up-front. when he starts scoring goals he wont stop. has a good international record but not so good yet at a-league level purely coz he didnt get much of ago at the jets. he would play well and get taken off or dropped for no apparen reason and then not informed for months on end. GVE - w**ker!

It does seem that GVE could possibly be a terrible man manager as it seems half the team are wanting to jump ship. Good technician/trainer, sh*t man manager? Or is it all Cons fault?

i dont really have an a-league side yet, but i watch every game on tv and go to as many as i can.
what about the forum you made for the newcastle jets supporters?
what about how you were a hardcore fan on our forum?

I was a jets supporter until what happened to hearfield. Just wondering if I would be excepted into the Wellington Phoenix forum and support group as I will follow Wellington every match and I will go to as many games as I can in both Australia and NZ.
and ditch them to the next club troy goes to?

joel griffiths is a w**ker, both in person and on the field. he thinks he runs that club and he nearly might
everyone knows con wouldn't let that happen.
he isnt that good a player, this is shown in why he isnt in selection for the socceroos!

top goal scorer? Johnny Warren Medal? Probably would have been a starter for Aus' first WCQ game if he didn't injure himself according to Pim. So due to a coaches clearly debatable decision to leave out what is a class player who was in a slight form slide it means "he isn't that good a player?"
GVE is a sh*t coach, yeh he won the premiership on the back of joel. he has bad managering tactics and his technical ability leaves a lot to be desired. i could tell you more about how he is a very bad player manager but i wont.

haha....far too many things wrong with that. For one he completely contradicted himself on the whole Joel thing within 2 sentences. GVE is clearly one of the best technical and tactical approach of any a-league coach
he would play well and get taken off or dropped for no apparen reason and then not informed for months on end.

probably because he wasn't scoring?

Now, don't get me wrong. I think troy has a clear future here and overseas.
But there are reasons why 4 or so of your accounts were banned. You claim you can get the "inside scoop" from troy, who knows if your making it up or not.

Either way mayze, good luck and don't piss this bunch off when troy hearfield doesn't perform to what you think he is.

Sorry, but it had to be done, good luck and phoenix supporters.. look forward to seeing you here and there. You guys are already looking very competitive!

Absolutely - message to Aussie players is you can play for the Nix and still be selected for national honours.

Apart from the fact that, you know, he hasn't actually played for us yet and has been in the squad in the past anyway. (e.g. v Mexico)
