Highlights;

 

Terry's reaffirmation he is commited to the Phoenix for the long hall and the recent comment that the Nix are also working on getting a youth team up and running.

 

Smeltz and Moss - both brilliant in front of goal

 

The Sydney win - well earned the hard way - guts and determination

 

Lowlights;

 

Results - After the 1st round last year we had 2 more points, 1 more win and had scored 4 more goals - we had conceded the same (12).

 

Team culture getting to the point the owner had to intervene.

 

Season ticketing fiasco.

 

Looking forward to;

 

The team playing to its full potential - Goa and Kwasnik, in particular, firing.

 

Smeltz re-signing.

 

Confirmation of our confederation status - eligible for Asia or Oceania.

 

My away trips to Bling and Roar games. 

 

Winning.

Singing ``We've cleaned up all our tinsel'' at the opening game of the season.'' 

Lowlights.

lowlight:

the team's form in the first 5 games, and being out of town for the pre-season cup final

 

looking forward to:

winning the a-league and 20,000 plus crowds every week.

 

Lowlights - The sinking feeling I got after having to suffer through the horror of that game against Adelaide.

 

Looking forward to - Summer in the Zone, getting the shirt off again and Smeltzy getting the golden boot, then re-signing...

 

              - The Sydney win, we deserved it after the players finally showed up to a game and gave everything.

              - The club making the "pre-season cup" cup final.

              - The support of those of others whom we dont hear from but who help make the club tick. The non playing club employees whom perform in a professional yet friendly manner - From the half time contest organisers to the programme sellers.

             - Making my first "Away" game at the 4 Kings last Monday and being blown away by the set up. First time I've gone "downstairs" and what an awesome time I had.

             - The introduction of "The Order of the Phoenix - Although light hearted, it is helping build a good relationship between the fans, the club and the media. Fred Woodcock has created a possible probable cult feature.

             - Newtalk ZB's ongoing advertising and the Phoenix hour. Thanks  heaps.

             - Getting chosen for a half chance to win a Sony laptop on Cape Day.

 

 

Lowlights - Early season form. On paper we have one of the better squads yet it just wasn't happening.

               - The stadium food - WTF, When will the stadium trustees sort that vile expensive crap out??

              - The low attendances, two brilliantly fine days and crowds low. Just for a nice day out, there's should have been more. The games have been well advertised, where have last seasons attendees disappeared to??

             - Losing the half time chance of a Sony laptop (But then I did get to give the YF a Babe Ruth type salute of recognition & respect and I did score my penalty - thank God.)

 

Looking forward to - 20k+ attendances.

                                    - The team living up to their potential.

                                   - Other players to start scoring and helping Smeltz out.

                                   - This seasons "End of season" YF bash, last years was excellent.

                                   - Seeing the clubs detractors eat humble pie.

                                   - Waking up and finding out the Phoenix really did win the A-League.

Getting coverage via web streaming so I can finally watch games.

Losing a couple of players to Europe after they impress at the Confed's and World Cup. Of course we'll get great replacements.  Sorry I've gone beyond 'balance of the season'.

They should show that on the wellington tourism instead of all that crap about coffee. I had one of the attractive young ladies Sarah Palin-brained-girls in the body of that 'girl' from Little Britain in the impersonal coffee chain in airport that you get foisted on you, tell me that Star bucks was not any good because it was a coffee chain. Ok. that's a lowlight.

 

Lol at LG- I managed to attend the first two games of the season and the beer and hot chips were a highlight for me! Not a bludy foccacia in sight thank Frigg.

 

Low: Games on days that are impossible to get to

 

Look fwd to: YES!!!! a game I can get to the Sunday of Labour weekend!

 

Lowlights - Finding out in another thread that despite thinking im a member the club dosnt think so.

 

Looking forward to - Heaps more shirts off without getting crook afterwards.Someone other than Smeltz scoring.
