Tonight @ADIDAS_AusNz and the Phoenix raised $20,078 for @CureKidsNZ. Many thanks to all the bidders and winners and of course @TradeMe!

Downey was the cheapest of them all and he actually played in that game.  Poor bugger.

This is fabulous news...
Now the Nix publicity boys need to get their arses into gear and make sure that this gets as much media coverage as possible. There is no point(apart from the charity) for the nix to do this stuff if they can't get it max publicity for it. They need to get pictures of Ifill handing over his shirt to the lucky bidder etc out to the press

that would be good but i think most people will get them couriered out, last time they did this i bought jon mckain's shirt but did not get to meet him to get the shirt i picked it up from the office in hunter street at the time.

Don't think he meant a photo op with every one of 20 players.

Ifill was the market leader by a long way, a high profile player, and a chance to generate publicity.

Was an excellent suggestion and one worthy of consideration if the Club hasn't already thought about it.

Needs a 3-some of:

<<winner>> - Paul Ifill - Cure Kids representative

If such a thing can be arranged and presuming the winner was local and able and wiling to front.ahmad2012-02-06 11:21:26

That surprised me as well. Surely a shirt that was actually "match worn" would be worth more than a player who didn't even make the bench.

holeinone, are you going to wear your Alex Smith shirt to the next home game?

[/QUOTE]

i would have to work out for a month or two to lose my gut. going to get it framed and put it up in the lounge, had to phone a friend and borrow some cash to get enough to win it and decided i did not want to be on the computer for hours trying to win a different player so over bid and paid about $150 dollars more than i was going to at the start of the auctions. good to see cure kids made over $20,000

Fair enough. None of my business how anyone spends their money.

That said I will suggest that there are far more nutritious ways to eat on a budget

Good stuff. I have a few match worn shirts myself but these were way over my budget. I'm hoping they sell last years squad shirts at some stage.
