How old before a child needs a ticket

Last year I brought my son along to experience his first live football.  When I checked about tickets it turned out he could get in for free because he was under 5.  I have just checked the FAQ's about tickets this year and it says children 3 and under can get in for free, yet when I looked at how much a child's ticket costs it says a child is 5-16.  Can someone please give some clarification?  Cheers.

I have looked around for an answer for you and can't see one anywhere (not even on the membership terms.  I suggest you phone 384 2547 as the people dealing with membership sales ought to know the answer.  Good luck.

For child season passes I see that the conditions say that proof of eligibility (ie 16 years and under) must be available for display on entry to the ground.  Pretty much impossible to enforce but it's there for season passes

Unless you want to be in the Fever Zone, even if they'll sell you a child ticket in the Zone they're bound to see that it is one when they check your seat details on entry.
