How pissed off am I...

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Due to the f**k of all f**k ups at work, involving a computer installation which has gone seriously pear shaped, my Annual Leave might be cancelled and I might have to work on Friday. I've booked the flights, the hotel, bought the ticket and now there's a strong chance I'll miss the game.

Bummer, no one else can do the computer work for you?? I hope you do make it. You could always go back into your work on Sunday to tidy things up.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

just hang you jacket on your chair, use Outlook screen as your screensaver, forward calls to your mobile, and leave a half eaten sandwich on your desk - and no one will ever know you werent there

You been stalking me Feverish? It's like you know my every move...

p.s. The sound of "Who R YA" being belted out in the background while I'm on my cellphone may give the game away

Quit your job.

I quit mine about 1 year ago (self employed now) because I was sick of work getting in the way of my sport watching. Best decision I ever made.

Phoenix > Work.

just do your work from a laptop in Wellington. yeh I'd be very pissed off if I was you. its bad enough that there is only one more home game after that as well! unless we fluke the play offs, even then we prob would be at home, its time the league was expanded, so there was a decent number of games. I reckon a 12 team league would be about right. Play three rounds and we'd get 16 or 17 home games in stead of only 11

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Latest update. Still at work, now been working for 24 hours and 43 minutes straight (and there were the 3 18 hour days before that!). Now a possibility that I might get there after all, touch and go at the moment but more hopeful than it looked 12 hours ago.  Tell you what, if it all works out, I'm gonna enjoy that beer in the BB tomorrow. Mind you, the way it's going, I might fall asleep and miss the flight anyway

Thanks for the careers advice Fellas. While quitting the job might be an option, quitting in the middle of something isn't reallly my style, I'm afraid.

Anyway, better get back to it!

p.s. BTW Scottishbhoy, I only used 'cellphone' so the Kiwis would know what I was talking about

All the best with your mission AFKAAJ (v impressed by your name change!!)

you'll have earnt a pint if you get to the BB, and hopefully the team will repay your determination with a win

good luck!!

(shame you hadn't touted this scenario as a reality tv concept - it's pretty compelling viewing, even as a message board saga)

Don't think we're flavour of the month anywhere. Nothing we could do, this one came from absolutely nowhere, even our European friends don't know what's happened. Not us mate, honest!

Your mob should be back on the merry-go-round later today!
