I don't really know why. It all started when Melbourne equalised with only minutes to spare. Like what has happened several times before with the nix at home - we always seem to lose 2 points in the last few minutes.

Topped off with a puzzling road trip to a windy Palmerston North. Losing our "home" record there while driving 4 hours was not what I had in mind. I know we only lost by a penalty to a very strong Sydney team, but we are now sixth - and Newcastle and rocketing up the table. I am sure we are better than Newcastle.

Then this very confusing "are we, aren't we" situation with the AFC, FFA and the ACL seems like it is going to proverbial kick the club in the balls. I am not getting any warm or happy feelings at the moment.

Someone please redirect my blinkers. Lets discuss some positive things about our club

We've got Paul Ifill.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I have to agree, couldn't believe my luck when the new club shop first openned and I used my discount voucher to get one. They are very cool.

Correction. We were 8th not 6th.

Our supporters really are top notch. Hopefully we are able to continue being top notch in 2012.

Hopefully the rest of our team aren't suspended either.

And hopefully we are string two or three wins in a row.

I have faith in all of these things happening, just hard to see it right now.

Cheer up Brian.  Worse things happen at sea.

I'm a bit slow with all the dates for next year but with the WC and hopefully some televised warm up AW matches before then and the EPL finishing in May, it looks like there'll only be 6-8 weeks down time of footy-tastic action until the A-League kicks off for 2010/11

(and that will be taken up with kids/weekend hero football)
