Unlucky but u should be turning up earlier then that! sorry mate. B in the stadium by 3:30 at lattest!
Decided to go over on the far side of the ground as a result as did many others.
Total shambles - still want to see my season ticket and also get it changed to one that is where I want it.
The lines were SHOCKING. But people should have pre ordered - I think everyone underestimated how many people would turn up. The amount of people rocking up 20 mins before the start of the game and expecting to get a ticket easily was pretty pathetic.

The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

I believe I spotted him exploding in a little ball of football related joy with Frankie Mac at the Backbencher shortly before parental responsibility sent me home.

parental responsibility
So the point is - why did you have to go to the ground to get the ticket? Secondly why were there more people out there dealing with the pre-paid tickets - after all they knew how many they had sold.

those poor people with pre-paid tickets, that horrible queue...

I arrived late but know the stadium well and have parking by the office so I know the ins and outs of getting to and from my seat. But the crowd that was outside waiting to get in was insane and I have never seen it like this before. Would have been a good couple of thousands and I thought they might delay the start but they didnt. Lots of security outside the gates as well. Was told afterwards they underestimated the walk-up crowd. I think it will get better and people might realise to turn up earlier.
Me too.
But then it took 40 minutes to do that at the Opera House, was not very organised. Glad I did though.
I shifted at half time to the end of the row. The GF was in that picture standing in my seat.
My family and friends went yesterday, looked at the mess that was called ticketing, returned back to the pub. Net result, a loss of 9 spectators.
Why does it cause enormous problems for Westpac stadium to deal with 15.000 people in the first place???
I have been to over 80 footballstadiums and I have never had to wait 30 minutes in a queue to buy a ticket!
Perhaps stadium management needs to go on a wonderful trip to Europe and learn abit about Football-crowds. I have heard that Spain and Italy are great places to visit...
It didn't chock anyone that the crowd would total about 15.000, those numbers were being discussed here several weeks before the game..
The number of tickets paid for and collected was available as statistics to management, so why didn't they react, when they noticed that only about 3000 had collected their tickets before gameday???
To me it seems like they weren't alert enough.
And trying to tell football-fans to show up early seems more like a plan to have us spend money in their stadium rather than run an efficient operation, something that clearly were lacking last time.
I look forward to management learning from this fiasco and improving their organisation and strategy for the coming weeks. its not up to us to be early its up to them to cater for their customers.

And to the people whose season passes have been screwed up.. That isn't exclusive to football fans - they gave my parents a wheelchair "seat" (eg. no seat just concrete) for their season pass to the rugby.
I didn't think the fault was with the Stadium at the weekend, it's Ticketek who are the cretins ripping us all off, which makes Steven's decision to get on here and defend all the more laudable.
Now, back to the bitching...
Guy.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
I note the CEO was out selling tickets - good on him - but so he should.
I had to pick up my "lost ticket" docket - as my season passes have yet to arrive. Having previously been to the stadium, I know only to well, that they are hopeless with dealing with people who turn up at the last minute. As a result, I picked mine up at 12.30 - even then I had to wait 5 minutes
I've been to many a game of Rugby, (I have season tickets for that too). Only too often there are queues at ticket booths even close to kick off....
As an aside, I heard on radio sport that 9000 tickets had been pre-sold. This may have caused people to think there was not going to be any queue.
Maybe the Backbencher, Thistle and phoenix shop should sell tickets too? even if that means ticketec missing out on their cut...
Roll on the next game
