Imagining a scenario whereby this team could win the league

not a prediction thread, more of a dreams thread.

Hypothetical one: 

A slow start to the season, but then we turn to a back three of Taylor, McGing and Steinman and scarcely are troubled. Sail comes into the team. Waine, Piscopo and McCowatt are all having great seasons, but Davilla and Ball are a star combo.

Lewis makes the team and scores a couple of crucial free-kicks to ensure the win.

Can't see Uffie switching from a back four, he's always used it and has signed players with a back four system in mind. If he did I don't think we would see Steinmann dropped back further by choice either, he tends to like to play the ball forward rather than sideways and otherwise we would have to use Rufer and Payne in the same midfield and they are too similar. Also not too sure why no one has confidence in Marinovic despite the coaches raving about him. We've seen what he can do and he's the All Whites number one. I'm a fan of Sail but I would hope Stefan keeps his spot

Often folks make predictions about their team's chances of winning, with an indepth analysis of their team - but zero reflection of the other sides in whatever comp they are in.

Hope the Nix have a great season, but they have zero chance of winning the title. But that's not what the fans need to stay happy supporters, and rightly so.

Neither Taylor or Devere break down, and they form a good solid defensive partnership...

... that provides a good platform for the youngsters to thrive beyond levels that we even thought possible...

... with rufer, mccowatt, piscopo all tearing up the league...

... and cacace improving to the level where carlo ancelotti wants him to replace ghoulam and mario rui at napoli...

... hudson-wihongi and payne handle the step up easily...

... which leaves us wondering if the a-league is really that much better than the handy...

... and finally ball, steinman and davila having career best seasons.

A company owned by one of our owners discovers cloning technology that allows them to replicate people to the age of 27 which we use to create Dejan Stojkovic and are able to force him to play for us.

Think am still drunk from yesterday/night and seem to have created a hybrid between Stankovic and Stojkovic. Was imagining Dragan Stojkovic in my head though!

The Roar are confused by Queensland's lack of daylight savings.

They turn up an hour late and we win by default.

we're imagining, so why limit yourself

I think us winning the leauge is deffinitely possible. I think Callum McCowatt is highly underated and could suprise many and tear up the leauge. With a solid backline and midfield as well as our forwards firing (which could be the main thing we need to go right) we can bring it home.

I do worry about injuries to our CB's this year. But it seems we have a very solid DM structure with Rufer and Steinmann. A lot more mobile than last year. 

We might not score as many goals this year without Krishna's pace up front, so I really hope we can counter that by being a lot more solid at the back.

People spend too much time being realistic around here.  Take a page out of Warriors fans books.

This is our year, and it will be our year until it is mathematically impossible, at which point next year will be our year.
