Hi.

i am writing this with a baby in one arm so please forgive spelling mistakes.

we will have to take baby with us for tonights game. i have had a man look (with babe in arms) for the ROF's policy for having a baby buggie. it is likely that we will be taking our baby pack though. It is a sizeable pack (big enough to carry a baby/toddler

I am worried that we are going to come off the train, walk all the way to the gate and be told that we won't be able to come in with said pack.mikecj2010-09-11 08:52:41

yea, just sit with the pram in the wheelchair spot. Not a big deal and IIRC I have NEVER seen anyone in a wheelchair at the rof.

The wheelchair spots are reserved for people in wheelchairs....they cant go selling it to anyone with a kid. Therefore they cant just go letting any prams into the stadium, because:
a) there is only so many wheelchair spots, which prams do they choose to let in,which do they turn away?
b) Selling to people with prams would mean there would be no wheelchair spots left if a guy in a wheelchair did come along and want to buy a ticket

Seriously:

You can't take infants into the ground because of the risk of people throwing them at the players.

No prams, but was allowed to take the pack in, but not into the seating area. Good game, baby got a little tired and grizzly towards the end though. But a nice way to kick start her devotion to the nix

Ironically you said that because last night there was an older guy in aisle 12 in a wheel chair enjoying the game. He had a perfect view of Wards goal too!

At the previous home game, there was a lady in a wheelchair there too. Good to see new faces at the ROF.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Thanks for all the informative replies.

Prams/Strollers/Backpacks that are or similar to the one posted in the OP are allowed past security but are subject to search. They are not allowed into the seating area as there is a risk that the stroller/pack may block the aisle should there be a made panic rush when an earthquake or some other disaster strikes. The strollers/packs can be stored safely with the lovely ladies at the information desk.

So, having answered my own question all I can really do now is ask a mod to lock this thread or send it into the abyss.
