Im not sure this deserves a thread

but 2 me is very serious

for the next game we have durante (2 weeks), siggy and manny out suspended

and have paston, ifill, bertos, pav? and potentially lia injured

so that means we have a 2 man bench, being toto and crowther

wat happens in this case???

Pav travelled with the team, So don't think he is injured

Musa would also be on the bench

Shopping is good in Sydney too, so that is to our advantage.

If he was there, surely you'd have him over Musa though. How about Ivan Vicelich? Because surely we need a replacement centreback.

Doubt that would go down well, as he would have to have another 30 day stand down period to be classed as a amateur again.

I'm pretty sure injury cover is just that. Injury. Suspension cover doesn't exist and wont be allowed. Therefore if Pav isn't injured then we only really have 4 injuries which leave 19 players from the allowed 23.

The S-League starts next week so you can count out Cunningham - he's still with Balestier Khalsa

Pav had a niggle so hopefully he and lia will be ok.

Otherwise we are entitled to sign injury cover for Ifill, Bertos and Paston.


None of these guys are defenders so itd be a bit of a stretch to sign up a defender as cover, but perhaps a defensive midfielder could be brought in.

Id like to see someone from the reserves if its possible.

But what are the rules with injury cover? Does the player signed HAVE to be a like-for-like, and if so how the hell do they decide? You can play players wherever you wish - they just might not be very good at it!

eg we could play Vuka as a striker if we really wanted to.

yeah im sure its fine to sign anyone, but eyebrows may be raised when we sign messi as injury replacement for paston haha
