So another poor display from Brown with us calling for him to be dropped from the team...
The same call we have been making for about 2 months now and still he starts every week.
If he has been as bad as we say then why has there been no article in the papers questioning his selection or championing the selection of someone else, no outward pressure on Herbert to make a change or atleast recognise Brown lack of form.
Hay likes to hear himself, where's his comments?
And to think of it, I can't actually really remember an article really having a shot at a players performance or form, why not?

Was thinking of starting a Brown and Bertos: why 90? thread.
Perhaps Ricki doesn't see them as impact players, and thinks it is starting or nothing?
Or to put it another way (and thinking of Pro-evo!) how many players do we have at the top of their game or still with their peak years ahead of them?

Owned one when i was 18 - but gave it up (it was profitable and easy to manage, it didn't go under) to go into education... and know i don't follow the same philosophy with students... but thats because they aren't paid to perform.
I'm sure Brown would start working a little harder in a game if he was placed on the pine for a few weeks. Nothing worse than complancency in a player.

Well, nothing apart from:
1. Crimminal activity perhaps: Like drug addiction, armed robbery, rape, murder, assaulting the ref, suicide bombing during a game.
2. Failing to turn up for a game at all without explanation.
3. Willfully scoring own goals.
4. Intentionally food poisioning the squad on an away trip...
etc.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Funny you mention that. Jermaine Defoe did this back in 05/06 when Spurs went to West Ham on the last day of the season needing a win to secure 4th and a Champions League birth. Of course they would have taken Arsenal's spot at the time, and Defoe is a boyhood Arsenal fan. Put two and two together, and....
