I'm getting F--ked off with those idiot Aussie commentators continuing to refer to the Phoenix as a New Zealand team. They're NOT FFS you Roo Humper Slater, when will you learn?

Just a point from a supporter from OUTSIDE wellywood, I agree they should be called the Wellington Phoenix.. but still nice to mention now and again they are a NZ team.. because they are from NZ and they have NZ supporters.. not just Wellingtonians.

I did feel that one of the commentators was sticking up for us when the first commentator compared us to the Knights and the other guy chimed in and said "Don't put that on them, they're performing MUCH better than the Knights". That got a cheer from us.

Yeh, people also requesting that the phoenix "go on the road" annoy me as well. Man Utd don't tour the country to play home games. Its alright to tour during pre-season, but not durin the season. GET OVER IT!

hehehe there's a reason the team got moved to here...we were the only ones to show up to the road games for the kningz, why bother sending OUR lads out to play in front of noone...

Why would a team be branded a certain way, expecting to be called something entirely different?  This isn't about uniting around a national cause or something.  This is about a football franchise called the WELLINGTON Phoenix, which has probably gained some sort of status as IP anyway.

Why would you have a beef with Coastfm? They didnt have the crap TV commenters on. They are broadcasting to the home teams fans and do a bloody good job of doing just that. Get behind these stations supporting our game (like ZB here).
